I've been keeping an eye on toysrus.com because they have had Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix listed there, albeit perineally listed as "not available". Today, at least for the moment, the game is listed as in stock. Maybe it's a mistake. Maybe it isn't. At least they don't charge you first! You could use the Google Checkout $10 off (new accounts) deal to get $10 off, which would cover the shipping (but not the tax), but I don't know if I'd do that because getting order status through them is weak at best and might delay your order since it's another step, and result in not getting anything. Still, figured I'd mention it for those willing to take a chance on it. Even at the full $49.99 price and with tax and shipping, it's still a bargain in comparison to buying it on ebay or elsewhere.

FYI, my order status (I did *not* use Google Checkout) is now showing as "Item(s) located in stock", which allegedely means that they have found it in their warehouse and it is going to be prepared for shipping. So it looks like they really do have stock. I still can't find the game anywhere else, so if it is in production again, there is no sign of that yet. If you want it, I'd order it now!

This is a title that I've held in my hands at a store for both the 1st and 2nd pressing, and thought, "nah, maybe later...". But when a game becomes nigh impossible to find, it's value to me skyrockets. Looking forward to it!

I wonder if Nintendo plans on going back and reprinting more games, plus controllers with the Wiis success. I have a GC, and the Wii has been a tremendous value to me, but if I never had a GC (like many people), the Wii becomes a even better value. I could see stores having a side section of gamecube games like Mario Mix for much longer than it takes the last gen games to disappear, along with a section of wavebirds/1st party controllers. There's a lot of people buying these games used, and it seems as if Nintendo could take advantage of that.

Otherwise, Gamestop sells a self-branded pad that works for both PS2 and Cube games for $19.99. Not exactly a bargain, but if you play DDR on both systems, it's a convenient option.

For those wondering, this popped up on Christmas day or the day after (I don't remember which). It was there for about 5 minutes - they disappeared FAST!

I ordered more than 1, and received a cancellation email. However, less than a week later, I received them in the mail. Moral of the story: Don't get bummed out if you get a cancellation. There is a good chance you will get your order anyway.

Thought 2: I wonder where they're getting these...If it were a reprint, I would assume they would have started showing up at Best Buy and CC by now (it's been nearly a month since they first "reappeared" on the TRU website).

I had been watching this item at toysrus.com for a while. At one point it showed up as available, but by the time I decided to pull the trigger it showed again as not available. Then it actually completely disappeared from the online store for a week or so - no listing at all. Then it came back, a week or two ago. Finally today it showed up as available. I put my order in as soon as I saw that and so far my order is still still showing as "located". I've got my fingers crossed. It is still showing as availble on their web site as of now.

Yes, they will work. When the Beat Pad first came out, MC Groov was the only dance game on the Cube. I'm not sure Madcatz ever updated the text on the box. However, the description on Madcatz's site clearly says it works with Mario DDR.

Both of mine got cancelled and I ordered about 10-15 min. after this thread was posted. Such crap, and I ordered through GCO so its going to be a pain to try to get my money back.

My friend actually just called up the customer service number and a phone rep told him that there were never any copies of Mario DDR in stock and that it was just a mistake on the website. A mistake that they havent corrected yet, the bastards! :bomb:

"How can you be out of an item that is still listed on your website as in stock? I can order it again right now from the site. This is the worst kind of poor customer service. Why would you cancel orders but not remove the item from your site or at least mark is as out of stock. Now I have to call my brother and tell him his kids are not getting the gift I told them they were and its all thanks to the poor customer service of Toys R Us. I find it sad that a company I grew up on has come to be known for rundown stores and now incompetent web masters. If you do not have something for sale, do not list it on your site as in stock and let people order it.

Hate to say it, but I don't feel bad for ANY of you guys that tried to do this. It should have been fairly obvious that this was a mistake, and now you guys are going to bitch and moan about money being held and poor customer service. Should it have been up as in stock on ToysRus.com? No. Do mistakes happen? Yes. Did most of you guys who put in an order and are now going to complain know this was a mistake?
