View Full Version : Wii in China
I'm living in China right now, and won't be getting back to the U.S. until sometime in September. I went to an electronics district the other day, and was surprised to find not only Wii's, but PS3's, and XBox 360's. The modding of said systems was very prevalent too.
Anyways, my question, if I buy a Wii here in China, will it work with American games?

I wouldn't be surprised if they only played cheap ripoff games like "Blocks". I don't trust half the shit that comes out of China claiming to be legitimate.
Realistically though, they're more than likely Japanese units which DO NOT play US games and vice versa.

get a ps3. no region coding. thats the only system of the three that has no region coding. so for now, that would be your best bet.
Since I brought my Xbox360 w/ me, I guess the PS3 is the only option - too bad I don't want one (right now anyways) :p
Thanks for the info though

I heard the Wiimotes are cheaper there too, $30? (Compared to $40 here). I think they work for US systems, pretty sure they do.
