Not that I care about the watch with case, ring, chain, playing cards, and soundtrack, but I wonder if this would be a decent investment. It's $90 and that's the thing that's keeping me from jumping on this one. I would also want to actually play the game.
Anyone play any of the Growlanser games before? I think this set comes with part II and III.

There's a better shot of all the junk in the deluxe pack here: http://workingdesigns.com/games/playstation2/growlanser_generations/deluxe.htm
edit: I read a preview of the game just now. According to it Growlanser II takes 8 playthroughs to unlock everything. I do so love copious replay value.

Yeah, but with my link, if anyone decides to make an impulse buy (unlikely I know), CAG gets a cut.

There's no link to buy the game on the link I gave, it's just to give a better view of the sweet sweet deluxe packaging.

I actually followed this game for awhile. I never played any of the others before, but the deluxe pack looks tempting.

Are you saying this deluxe set comes with two parts of the game you wouldn't get with the regular retail version?

No, the games are the same, but the deluxe set comes with the watch, ring, chain, playing cards, and soundtrack.

If you don't care about the extra stuff don't get it, I dont think it'll go up in value or anything.

Ive been thinking about this ever since EB and GS put it on their respective site. I really like oldschool RPGs, and will likely buy it.. I might just go for the regular version but still the Deluxe set s VERY tempting...

I'll definitely get the Deluxe. I'll probably trade a few games and pay for the other half myself.

Wait, this is a normal turn-based RPG? I thought it was a turn-based tactics game. Damn, I wanted another good FFT-type game.

I, too, thought that Growlanser was a tactical series.
Damn, I wanted another good FFT-type game.
Then why, according your IGN collection, do you have no Disgaea?

Because that game hasn't started appealing to me since recent.

Well as a fan of RPGs, I think it'lll be nice to see what all the rave is about. I've heard about this game since a long long time ago and wondered how it would be.
Being a consumer whore that I am, I love those collectible things
August is a tough month though, three great RPGs coming out. Phantom Brave, Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time, and GL:Deluxe. I'll have to pick up all of those

I think a better question would be why doesn't he have FFTA?

FFTA is horribly overrated, dude'd probobly be better off just playing FFT again, honestly.

lol yeah right.
Most Working Designs games go up in value, especially their 'sets'. Just look at the sealed Lunar box sets on eBay.
