Gene Simmons Family Jewels Collector's Edition DVD set for $5 (save 44.95), use this "EPRDAY" for free shipping, so for me being in michigan it cost 5.30 total. I know its not the best show but it would be a good gift for any kiss fan.

I'm surprised it's still in stock (or available for order) the way some Slick Deal people are ordering 40 at a time (and some idiot who claimed to have ordered 250). Don't they realize with all of them buying them to re-sell, they'll be lucky to make more than a few dollars. Some people are pre-selling them already.

I ordered one earlier today. Never really checked out the show but for $5, why not? When I ordered it said it would ship in mid Feb.

And I hear ya on the eBay resellers. Those things will probably be going for $10 or less on eBay by the middle of next week.

Yea I saw that, if you look on ebay there hardly selling. I bought a copy because it was a decent show, and for $5 its cheaper to buy then rent to catch the episodes I missed.

Well I just ordered 20, I will easily be able to double my money at 10per copy seeing as this edition has the bonus cd that the regular edition doesnt come with.

And on the thread on SD, someone claimed they called and were told any orders for over 10 copies will be cancelled. But that person could have been lying to try to get others with the intent to re-sell not to order.

I ordered one this morning for $5 figured why not. I only seen part of one episode of the show on tv. Says it will ship 2/12...

Thank you for posting! I don't care for Gene Simmons or Kiss, but my buddy is a HUGE Kiss fan, and I just ordered him one via phone. $5.00! That's crazy! The phone rep was laughing at how good a deal it was.

And I ordered ONE, because that's all I needed.

Thanks again!

In for 1. Thanks, OP!

$5 is an overpriced rental...definitely worth seeing once for that price. (Every time I caught it on TV it was the Surprise Wedding episode, go figure...)

$5 is an overpriced rental..

That sorta depends if you go to a B&M store most charge per disc. So to rent this at my local blockbuster would be $3.19+tax per disc. Hence for me its cheaper to buy then to rent.

stupid jerk offs ordering 250...NOW...thanks to them...we'll be VERY lucky if the deal goes through....

Well, I really hope this does go through. I ordered 2 (one for myself & one for a coworker who got me watching the show in the first place). I normally despise "reality" TV, but this show is hillarious.

Thanks OP, here's hoping...

DEAD. Check the link.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Now I want to know what it was only $5. Did they press 100,00 and only sold 46 copies for $40. They gotta have a reason.

according to biomekanik at DVDtalk:

I don't think this was a price mistake. Someone over at the Slickdeals forum called up to cancel their order of 40 http://images.dvdtalk.com/images/smilies/grumble.gif and was told that they are cancelling any order over 10. They definitely know about it and this collectors box set was only sold on the A&E site. It probably wasn't selling well and wanted to clear out stock.

Thats a hell of an error. It was $5 for like 4 days, and the CSR's even knew about it. There going to piss off a lot of people. I don't care to much as I could rent it. But the people that really wanted this are going to be pissed.

Most price errors are up for maybe a couple of hours at most. This was up for at least 4 days IIRC.

I haven't gotten a cancellation email (yet). I wonder if it makes a difference that I only ordered 1, and I called in my order.

The phone rep confirmed my order twice, said what a great deal it was, and confirmed that I would only be charged the flat $5.00- not tax, no shipping.

Then, I got a confirmation email about my order re-stating what the live rep said.

If I don't get it, I won't care that much, I ordered it for a buddy who I thought would be really excited about it (being a huge Kiss fan) but he was pretty much like "Meh, I guess I'd give you $5.00 for it, but nothing more- the show is probably stupid".

My didn't work online so you might have to call them.

I typed in the Gift card number and its invalid. My total is $24.95 with free shipping.

So I call them place my order online she tells me its going to be $52.95.
I tell her that two dvds are $9.98 online, and one is $4.99. She corrects it and then tells me shipping is going to be $5.90. I paid for shipping because frankly I want to be done completely with them.

Not a problem. I bought the first 3 volumes of Weird. U.S.

The CSR was real nice, so it wasn't much of a hassle.

I'm so glad that AE.com didn't have the courtesy to send me an e-mail stating the cancellation of my order. I thought it was still on until I reviewed the forums. Who knows, maybe the same whizbang who let the so called "pricing error" slip by for three days will pack and ship all of the reasonable orders (ONE). That's dreaming. If they had any guts, they wouldn't cancel the orders. Probably the only way to rid the warehouse of those dreadfully overpriced things. Something strange to note, on the same link provided for the orders, it says now that all orders will ship in April, it said mine would ship 2/12 I believe when I ordered, is it possible some orders slipped through? :)

I know it's bad bumping a year old thread, but does anyone know if the $25 codes had an expiration date? I forgot about this but found my code and it still isn't working online, it says my code is either invalid or expired. I can call but didn't want to waste the time looking for something only to find out the code is no longer valid.
