Is there any possible way you can flush a cell phone and not be a moron?

So I just arrived home from Political Science class and the first thing im told is dont use the bathroom your little brother flushed a cell phone. Now my first instinct should be the 7 year old....yet I knew it was my 21 year old little bro instantly. Only thing I can think of is he's high...since well he smokes pot on average 5 times a day. I mean if you sit down to use the bathroom and your using it then you should notice it fall in the toilet. If your not using the bathroom and it falls in the toilet...how the fuck do you manage to flush and not notice it? I dont see any possible way someone could flush a cell phone. Can someone enlighten me? Is there a way to flush a cell phone and not be a moron....even if you were stoned as shit I cant understand how this happans.

My friend's done it more than a few times. He also destroys every cell phone he gets cosmetically. Yes, he is going to community college :P

Its a common occurance, you lean forward to hit the flush and right as your far enough to reach the handle the phone slips from being pinched between your ear and your shoulder. because the other hand is either pulling up pants, holding pipe/bong, or holding a piece of food... How he didnt save it before it went down is another story... you gotta have a big toilet to take a cell phone...

Does a cell phone not fit through all of the plumbing of a toilet system? The phone is more or less fucked as soon it is submersed in the water so why bother getting it out?

Because you dont want to spend $100s on fixing the damn thing or worse $1,000s if it gets down deep into the pipes.

I worked at a radioshack in the past. I say we got at least one person a day who drop their phone in the toilet. They always wanted to know if we would replace it.

I should add that the "dropped in the toilet" excuse was the most common reason why a cell phone wouldn't work when someone came in with a broken phone.

Dropping a cell phone in the toilet doesnt seem that bad....but actually flushing it...thats where it seems beyond moronic to me.

back when beepers were popular i flushed mine down the toilet...it was a beeper that slid in and out of the holder so as i leaned over to flush the beeper slid right out (the holder was a bit worn so the hold wasnt as good) and by that time the toilet was in midflush so i had no chance to grab it...of course the beeper was a lot smaller then a cellphone

Back in the 80s there was just no way to flush a cellphone, I mean they were huge bricks, much larger then the turd that was just dropped along with them. With smaller phones now I can actually picture it going down, now for those of us sober our reflexes might be good enough to get it while it swirls, for a pothead....... well go get the plunger

We always washed our hands after touching a toilet phone. People would come in with a wet phone say they dropped it in the rain (well sir it hasn't rained in a week), into a bucket of water, or dropped it into what they were drinking.

Finally after questioning them for about 2 mins they would break and tell us its been dropped into the toilet.
