Congrats now you just have to wait for the good games to come out, lol.

Anyway, update the thing so you can play your ps2 games on there without the jaggy graphics.

Go download Gran Turismo HD (its free)

Go download some demos and try out some games

If you have a HD tv that can support HDMI, get yourself a HDMI cable. One of the best $30 I have spent ( You can prolly pay less by buying from Monoprice.com)

Other than that....get some games you'll like for the ps3

If you want something to play on the PS3 you could...I don't think there are any huge differences between the two.

Yeah, that's one thing I like about the PS3. Free online. It may not be as good as Live but it's free.

And do get Resistance soon, its a very awesome game.

It's going to be the best system I think, and this is coming from an XBOX guy. Anyways, I am so amazed by the picture and sound quality that blu-ray possesses and with so many releases lately with the movies, it's so amazing.

Enchanted Arms is apparently coming out, but the 360 reviews of it make it seem kinda "meh"I had the game for 360 (got rid of it since I plan to get it for PS3), and it's not too bad, but it isn't one of the greatest RPGs. I'd say the game was good overall, but kind of easy and somewhat felt like a beginner RPG.

I played through Enchanted Arms on the 360 and it was fun. Not the best game ever, but pretty good for a first-gen RPG. Supposedly there are going to be some pretty big improvements for the PS3 version, including new content and a new English dub (the voice acting on the 360 version kinda stunk) so it may be worth looking into.

Of course, if by some chance you didn't already own a PS2 then you suddenly have a TON of much better RPGs to choose from. ;)

EDIT: Forgot to mention. As far as the warranty goes, I passed. I actually did buy it on impulse from EB at first, then I got home & started thinking about what I had actually paid for. Sony offers a 1-year warranty anyway, so all I had done was given EB $60 so that on the off-chance something happens during that year, instead of sending it in I could just go to the store. No thanks - I went back & got my $60 back.

i went a month without a 360... it was terribleI completely disagree. I own both a PS3 and Xbox 360, and I play my PS3 10 times more. I haven't played a 360 game in over a week. If I play it, I just play UNO (since I beat PGR3 and moved onto RR7, not playing RR6 anymore). Mostly, I just play PS2/PS3/PSP. Everything else is just boring to me currently.
i do have a 360 and all i play is nba 2k7 so i guess my ps3 cant collect anymore dust then the 360I can't decide whether I'll buy that or NBA 07 for PS3. I played the 2k7 demo on 360 and liked it, and I also liked the NBA 07 demo on PS3. I haven't compared the two directly because my Xbox 360 broke when playing NBA 2k7. :(

I went a month without my 360 and played Metroid Prime and Super Mario Sunshine. It was great. The only thing I missed my 360 for was the Media Player connectability.

However, that was before Gears of War which is amazing.

Oh, please. Did I say I hated the PS3? All I said was that he wasted his money by not waiting for a price drop. I'm getting a PS3 myself, just as soon as Sony makes it affordable and there are more must-have titles for the system.

Nobody knows when there will be a price drop. I'll admit, right now, Resistance is the only really good reason to get a PS3 (at least if you have a 360 already), and it's certainly not worth the price of the console all by itself. But games like Lair, Goddess of War (oops, I mean Heavenly Sword), Motor Storm and others coming out in the next few months should be enough to tide us over until the really good stuff comes out.

Its actually pretty dang fun. I'm about 10 hours into it and the pace has been great so far. I haven't had to backtrack or level grind yet although I did find a secret area where I just got slammed. I think that's one of those side quest places where you don't belong inside of until you're much more powerful.

Cheap Ass Gamer does not mean Poor ass Gamer. And I could say the same thing about the Wii. Sure, it's cheaper than the other consoles, but when you get down to it it's just an overpriced Gamecube. I'd rather pay $500 for something new that's actually worth what its being charged (new technology, buy a blu-ray player separately and spend a hell of a lot more) than $250 for something thats worth a lot less than that.

And then don't forget the VC. Why would anyone on Cheap Ass Gamer pay $8 for a Genesis game :roll:

Don't listen to these X-box 360 fans.
The PS3 will have way better games in the future than any of the other home consoles. Let the Wii and 360 have there year, but come 2008 the PS3 will bulldoze the competition.

Due to cheapassgamer I found lots of cheap Kmart games and traded them into EB games under the 3 for $10 deals. I found out about the PS3 pre-orders at EB games and waited in line for about 15 minutes before the store opened. All told, I got my 60 GB PS3 for about $200 cash at launch with minimal waiting (although I didn't open it until Xmas). And I have been enjoying Resistance and Blu-Ray movies since then. So that's why I frequent cheapassgamer and bought a PS3 right now.

I love Resistance and Ridge Racer 7 (both a lot), and plan to get Genji 2 as soon as possible (I love the demo and the first Genji is one of my favorite samurai action games ever). Plus, I do want Untold Legends (I liked it on PSP) and NFS Carbon (I would rather get it for PS3). Mostly, I just love the awesome downloads PS3 has now (like Blast Factor, Lemmings, GT HD, MotorStorm demo, F1 CE demo, GripShift, PS1 games to play on my PSP, etc.).

To an extent, I actually enjoy NBA 07 also. Although it lacks commentary, defense isn't all that great, and lacks the modes the PS2/PSP version has (like Story mode, which I don't care about), I actually enjoy it a little more than 2k7. My problem with 2k7 is that it's just too realistic for me and NBA 07 is easier for me to get into (I love the shot meter and it's much easier to make 3 pointers).

I dont even have a game yet and im stil extremely happy with the ps3. I have had several for the 360 and still dont feel quite right with it. someting about knowing ill have a ton of good Jrpgs and metal gear juat makes me feel satisfied

I also have a PS3, and quite honestly the only Xbox 360 exclusive game I really would want to play is Crackdown, but just wait, good games will come out. Like Assassins Creed (don't care if its multiplatform), Rainbow six vegas, White Knight Story, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Ratchet And Clank, and the KoeI games. And this may sound nerdy, but Eye of Judgement actaully looks really cool.

BTW, download the 300, and TMNT trailer immediately in HD< those things own. Also, the Motorstorm and Gran Turismo Demo's are awesome.

Frickin A, there is enough love in this world for more than one console. I don't want one company to 'bulldoze' the others as one user above said. Good games with unique experiences will come out for all three consoles... there is no reason to hate.

I have a 360 and Wii, and will be getting a PS3 when Lair comes out and/or I can find a good deal on a 20 GB.

It's pointless to rag on the wii or ps3. If I would have judged the ps2's future by the first few games on it, I would have never expected it to be the success it eventually was. Give everything time and let developers make games. All systems will be pretty even in the end.

I have both consoles (with the Godzilla game in the works... a Wii's looking like a purchase too... heh) and love them both for different reasons. I couldn't really stand the XBox "classic", because it simply seemed like an FPS-heavy box to me. Those sorts of games are not my cup of tea (I don't even have Resistance for the PS3, because I don't enjoy those games... but it looks pretty... like GoW...) The 360 has promise with the titles coming for it to be something more rounded than it's predecessor. And looking at the release list for the PS3, well, it's got what I loved about the PS2 and then some... heh. :)

I've said it before, arguing about console domination is fun..... if you're 12. :lol:

I bought the ps3 because i knew i wanted final fantasy 13 ,metal gear 4, and all the jrpgs i can get my hands on. I bought the 360 ,at the time ,because i wanted to play next gen madden ,hehe what a joke right, but anyway there are reaosns for each to be great. i mean just look at the upcoming games for both quite a lineup if you ask me.

I bought my PS3 at launch because I bought a HD TV last superbowl and have been dying for it since. I was originally a xbox fan, but after two years of owning the original xbox I got tired of not being able to play all the great games PS2 had. I bought my PS2 and after that I rarely played the xbox again. I figured this time I wouldn't be left out, plus I'm really excited about Blu-ray. When I hear the old thing about this being CAG, I say I am. I bought my gaming console and Blu-ray player all-in-one and saved myself a bundle. Now that you have your PS3, yes most of the good games are on the horizon but playing Resistance, and watching all those beautiful Blu-ray movies, will hold you over.
