Haha, yep! Does EB do price Matching? I hope I can get them to lower the price on Phoenix Wright 2! Spending 40bucks (plus tax) and then getting 90+ dollars at EB never sounded so good!

EB usually doesn't price match. If you find a good store/employee, they might do it for you. Doesn't hurt to try!

All the Ebs in the lowermainland price matches. It's their policy. Even the crappy New West Store with the f#$%ed up manager does.

Azumangaman, did this work for you? I'm also in Ontario, and don't want to go and buy these games if I can't trade them in (as I don't have a next-gen system yet).

Ya, it worked for me! I got 45 bucks for GoW and 38 dollars for FFXII.
Total: 83 dollars!!!
The only thing is the people at EB Games (manager included) told me that they have NEVER had 10% extra trade in credit with the edge card, and the only way to get it is with them not circling the info at the bottom of the receipt. WTF??? Is there any proof that someone has so I can get my 10% extra? They had signs all over EB, but they didn't say "EB EDGE CARD" and it said "see associate for details" and he was the associate:roll::roll:

And also today the IDIOT who I thought was nice and NOT STUPID (this is the guy who I normally see there, but there is another group of guys who are actually really nice) who told me that the pre-order price of DIDDY-KONG RACING for the DS was 59.99!!!
fuck-ing idiots.
It's why I hate EB

Hmm...I could see this as a great combination with the promotional "2 Prepaid Games for $40" that Rogers Video is apparently offering (see the thread on p.1 for more detail). Think about it:

1.) Buy GoW and another game of your choice from Rogers. Trade in GoW for the $45 at EB. You essentially have a free game and $5 to spare for ice cream, transport, 3 McDonald's Junior McChicken burgers, etc.

or

2.) Buy two GoW from Rogers (highly unlikely, but meh), then trade to EB for the deal. Bam. $90 right there.

I bought as many copies of FFXII as I could and traded them at EB for $500 store credit. I can't decide if I want a PS3 or a 360, I already own a Wii. I'm leaning towards the PS3 due to reliablity, after the PS2 debacle who would of guessed? I only came across one Wii game, Zelda and no good Xbox 360 games.

Edit for grammer!

Thats what im planning :), but Vancouver EBgames only give credit, does anyone know one that give cash?

They aren't allowed to give you cash and aren't stupid enough to give you cash. $90 credit to spend on anything in the store.

And if you're in the Vancouver are and find Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, or Trauma Center: Second Opinion, be a pal and sell it to me for the $23 ($20 + tax) =(

GuardianFlash, 41st and Victoria didn't have FEAR or DOAX2. I'll check there again tomorrow along with Surrey Central as they should restock supposedly.

what? i am lost with all the confusion in this thread. basically I understand they buy the games back at these prices, but how are people finding them for cheaper and selling them back? where sells ff 12 for cheap or gears of war?

Rogers Video had this 2 games for 40 bucks thing. If u manage to score a copy of FF12, GOW, or any of those high credit games, then u make a profit.
