Before anyone jumps down my throat, yes, I posted this in the Cube forum too. But per a suggestion and my own thoughts, maybe I'd get a better answer or something to try here.
------
Hey guys,
Just recently got Killer 7 from a CAG in a trade and popped it in this evening. I know its bizzare but I think something's actually wrong.
When I play it, my TV is constantly auto-switching from 16:9 mode to "Panorama" mode, which actually doesn't change the way the picture looks at all, but is constantly blinking the screen black and then back on. I'm playing it on my Wii via component cables. I tried setting the Wii to be 4:3 instead of 16:9 but that setting evidently has no bearing on the GC part of it. Next up I'm going to hook the composite cables up and try that away, but I thought I'd check in with you all to see if you had any ideas.
I've never had this issue with the Wii or any other component hooked up to the TV. Wii's menu, games, and other Cube games play perfectly fine. Any thoughts?

I picked up a copy to play on my Wii at target for $7.48 the other day and it seems to play fine on my HDTV with the component cables...

This is weird. I just had the same issue with Sonic Adventure 2 before it went into progressive scan mode. I'm not sure what's up, but it's too late for me to dink around with it. I'll mess with it tomorrow. Maybe a night of being unplugged with convince the Wii to behave. ;)

The Legend will NEVER die.but... but... my TV is legendary!
Rf, save it. Please, help the little TV...
EDIT: Ok, weird. I had kinda written this off as a software or console issue, but the talk about the TV< joking or not, led me to experiment before bed. Component 1 has the issue. Component 2 does not. That's very weird and very annoying. Maybe the TV is the one who needs to spend a night unplugged.
Maybe the wii needs an update? Or maybe bad component cables?
Or maybe its the game messing with your mind - I mean, it is Killer 7 after all ...

Maybe your TV linked up with Skynet and has become self aware. Just in case I would cover it with a blanket tonight so it cant see you sleeping.

After a power blink at his house, a friend's Wii wouldn't even turn on anymore. He left it unplugged for about 2 days, and it has fixed itself. We're convinced that the Wii has nanobots in it to fix things--but maybe they're more aware than we thought, not just taking care of the Wii but watching for an opportunity.

Damn, I'm probably not the first to say, but Nintendo should've bought that term and used it instead of wiiconnect24....

My Megaman X Collection will not work in my Wii. The screen just keeps scrolling vertically during every game but not the menus... Weird

Are all of you that are having weird GC pictures issues using component cables? I'm wondering if you are trying to send a 480i signal over 480p and it is freaking the game out? Isn't there some button you need to press while the game is loading to have it run in progressive scan (if that game has the option?)
EDIT: Just checked my Metroid Prime 2 manual and you have to press and hold B while the Gamecube logo is in the screen while the game is loading and you should get the option to turn on progressive scan.

Whenever I play a GC game the w/progressive scan option, the Wii asks before the game starts if I want to enable pro scan mode. I've haven't had to hold b during the logo.

Yeah, you're right, I just tested it out myself. On the GC, you had to hold down B at the GC logo.
I did notice something I've never seen before. If you choose "No" to playing a GC game in progressive mode, it actually changes the Wii setting back to 480i. I guess there would be no reason why you wouldn't want to play a game in 480p, but just a warning in case you do say no for whatever reason.

well good to hear it wasn't the copy of the game I sent you that is screwing up, daroga.. Although news that it's your TV isn't any better for you, either.
Can't wait to get Wario Ware today or tomorrow!
