An Argentine soccer fan was furious when he discovered that instead of his favorite team's logo, a tattoo artist had etched a penis on his back. The teenage fan of Boca Juniors -- the club for which famed Argentine soccer legend Maradona played -- asked the artist to tattoo the team's logo on his back.
The tattooist, however, was a fan of rival club River Plate and decided to have some fun at the Boca loyalist's expense, Terra Argentina reported Monday.
The victim, whom authorities did not identify because he was underage, said he did not realize the artist's chicanery until he went home and show the tattoo to his parents.

:lol: this reminds of of an urban legend of a tattoo artist who, when asked for tattoos of trendy words like peace, harmony, traquility, strength et. al in japanese writing, the guy would write like 'dumbfuck', 'penis', 'loser', 'failure', etc.

i've heard of that one too. particularly when the person getting the tattoo is a pastey white boy trying to be cool.

I could've of swore I read that in a news article here. It was a Japanese tattoo artist who was getting tired of white teenagers coming into his shop. So he started making fun of them. The first person to find out was a white chick with a belly button tat. She went into a restaurant and they laughed at her then told her what it means.

Yeah, that's the gist of the story, but on account of hearing so many variations (white chicks trying to look cultured, rich white boys trying to be trendy, et al) and being hinted that it was an urban legend, I figure it's just a story.
But a damn funny one. :lol:

This does seem pretty unlikely, but it's been reported by multiple sources. I'm dubious that anyone would actually leave the tattoo place without taking a look first. No mirrors in the entire establishment... :bs: But, who knows. The guy basically killed his career as a tattoo artist for a stupid prank.
I'm just picturing the kid proudly turning around to show his parents his awesome new tattoo of their favorite team.
