Because of of the unique save system, I am having trouble deciding when I should try to play the game out and beat it. I am thinking about starting tonight and beating i tomorrow (holiday). I am at level 8 now so should I go for it? Also, would it be okay to leave my 360 on all night if I get tired of playing and continue? How long does the game go for anyway? Basicly, when shoud I commit to playing the whole thing and how much time am I looking out? Thanks cags!

I think you're thinking the save system is much less forgiving than it is. when you've had enough, get to a bathroom and save. your game will still be there. make sure you save after each mission as well.

It's about 15 hours for everything, I think.

Man, I am confused. everytime I save and turn off the system I have to start from the begining...right?

Hmm, maybe because I only saved after dying is because I have been starting all over. So if I save at a bathroom and then quit, the next time I play I should be in that same bathroom?

You are probably going to want to play it through a few times....it takes some getting used to. I went out and bought a memory card that way I could alternate between two saves.

My first time through I couldn't get the right ending because It took too long for me to kill the butcher, It was allready past time to go back and meet Isabella - so I couldn't complete the wrapup after case 8 (and didn't even see the spec ops soldiers).

So I saved with my current level (22 I believe it was) and started over with that level.

However, instead of playing the regular game I went straight to the maintenance tunnels and spent 4 hours or so killing zombies...killing zombies....and killing zombies...until I got 54,000 or whatever the number was to get the megman blaster. I also leveled up to the max (50) before trying 72 hour again.

With that level and the blaster, time was no longer a factor as no boss could stand up to more than a couple hits from it - not to mention Special Forces guys and the raincoat psycho's fall down like flies, plust get the mini chainsaws. With those weapons the game is easy to beat.

That is until after you get through the "true" ending and get to the end of "overtime" mode and have to face the head special forces guy first in his experimental heavy tank and then hand to hand with no health bonuses and no weapons - THAT took alot of tries for me, I mean alot!

God I loved this game...still debating on whether I should spend much time in infinity mode - kinda boring as the object is to stay alive as long as possible so the best way to do that is get food items and close yourself up somewhere...like I said, kinda boring. But the regular 72 hour mode and overtime mode are awesome.

So I should pretty much level up first and kill loads of zombies?

This is 100% wrong.

Whenever you save, you can stop playing. Next time you're ready to play, you will restart from that save point.

Restarting from the beginning ONLY happens when you choose "Save Status and Restart" when you die.

oh yeah, saving after you die only saves your stats, not your progress in the story. The bathroom (or couch in the office) saves your story (and stats) progress.

Yaeh, i should get back to this. Loved it so much and then sort of left it hanging. I'm at the part where isabella is on the motorcycle and keeps shooting you if i'm not mistaken. Any tips/a strategy on defeating her?

Jump on top of the scaffolding right there and plug her. She'll have a far harder time blasting you up there.

I think I remember doing this, but that she kept getting me anyway. What's a recommended weapon to use against her.

Make sure you kill the psycho in the gun shop before you get to this encounter. Go to the Isabella encounter stocked up on shotguns and then just jump up on a scafholding or a pile of stuff lying around. She will drive circles around you and you can easily blast her to death with the shotguns.

Mini Chainsaw + Criminolgy + Entertainment + Engineering = pwn a11.

I got this game a few weeks back but haven't started yet, the concept sounds like my dream come true in video games, but I'm worried that it will just be sort of silly while playing it.
I think I'll give it a go next week and see what I think.

katana + criminology = easy special forces kills.

Also, if you run to the gunshop right after starting a new game, Cletus won't be there yet and you can stock up on weapons.

I just finally continued playing this after a few months and finally beat it with the true ending and overtime mode. Brock isn't that hard if you know what to do.

Anytime he changes "levels" on the tank, he is left temporarily defenseless. Stay on the lower part of the tank, making sure to stay out of kicking range. He will jump down to your level. Use this time to backflip kick him, which will take a huge chunk of his health. He usually will return to the higher part of the tank. Repeat until dead.

Does anyone else think infinity mode is kinda, well, dumb/aggrivating/not fun?

No. There are two save options:

1. Save and Continue
2. Save and Quit

Save and continue allows you to continue your game. Select this and when it is done saving shut off the xbox or hit the dashboard. When you boot it up again you start right where you saved it.

Save and quit restarts you from the beginning. i.e. Save 'stats' and 'quit' story mode.

The uzi from down inside the fountain under the scaffolding - she can't get you at all there.

that worked for me anyways...gives you more life and inventory slots along with more moves, etc.
