Yeah, I wouldn't probably put in my SSN number, but CC's with protection or a drivers license can only do so much damage. I used my CC that has online checking so I can verify (and do) any charges on it instantly.

But, at no point did I ever feel uneasy about OBOP. Especially since it's been backed by GL, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and have given it the thumbs up so far. Though, if that debit card never comes I'll be sorely disappointed.

I'm sure the card will come because the card seems to be the way Obopay makes it's money. The way I understand it is obopay is linked to the prepaid debt card and you can add funds on it at any time with your mobile phone.

I made a prize claim on the 12th or 13th, just after the deadline for the 15th payout. A few days later, they announced that they were going to monthly payouts, on the 15th of every month, IIRC. That's why I was shocked to get this payment. It must be because I claimed my prize before the payout policy was changed.

I'm not sure, I have been approved on fake info and real info. The problem is that it is hard to figure out if the approval was because of real info or not. The rule of thumb is to always use real info and if you don't trust the site is not to use any info at all.

It worked very quickly for me. I haven't received my $10 debit card, but it's only been a few days.

I opened a support ticket right away and was told to redownload the software and run it and I should be credited. Well, I wasn't, but then they just asked for my confirmation email and manually credited my 11 points. The whole process took like 30 minutes - which is, in my experience, about 48 times faster (and nicer) than GL. So my props go out to PR again (linky in the sig if you wanna sign up :)).

I'm still using GL, of course. I'm sitting on 40.49 points with GL and 39.75 points on PR. I'm still going for the custom order GHIII guitar from GL and GHIII game with guitar from PR. Come onnnnn those need to be released!

I ordered Age of Empires III: The Age of Discovery (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/22545) through a custom order last Friday. It depends on the survey, many of the 3 or 4 page surveys I complete until it says
"Thank you" or something of that nature.

They ship from Florida if they have the item in stock when they don't have it in stock they use drop shipping from retailers like Amazon.com. Most likely they drop shipped it otherwise they would have emailed you the time card code.

I figured it would have went out via Amazon, but it was weird when the guy said he remembers packing it to go out, makes me wonder why they shipped my timecard rather than giving me the #s.

They could almost drive down here and see if my address is legit, they've sent me another prize though via mail so they know its legit (my WoW card came via mail) .. I just figured its weird since he said he remembers packing it, and that would mean it came from Florida (the same state as me) but that was on the 9th. Today marks day six, though you can say Sunday doesn't count, we'll say four .. still a bit long to go instate - the dagger from the contest from GA took less, I believe (2-3 days). And I'm still waiting on my PrizeRebel points card, just my luck that nothing that I could use right now wants to come in a timely manner, and leaves me gameless.

Well, the Sony timecards I've purchased all were scratch offs, but this one doesn't look to be a scratch card .. its just a small piece of paper basically with the SOE logo and the games its valid for, with code on back. I don't think anyone could have guessed this code though, its a pain and I made sure to retry it myself since its an ugly code, lol. They probably sent an already used one, I'm still waiting for a response though - sucks it took 8 days to get my card and then . .wham this.

They aren't accepted within 15 minutes anymore, theres probably too much traffic now .. back when they started though the general rule was ~30 minutes otherwise it was disapproved, however now they tend to take longer .. I'd say give them 24 hours or so.

What Foladar said is correct. Within the last few months I haven't had an offer approved in less the 45 minutes.

Be sure to check out the Offer of the Day post and try the offers from the last few days because those offers do work. If none of the last few offer of the days work then something for sure is wrong.

I have sent in a few tickets and got different response times. Tickets have taken anywhere from 2 hours to almost 3 days from my experience. If you don't get a response today you should get one tomorrow, if you don't get a response tomorrow resend the ticket.

It seems you are having all sorts of bad luck with gaminglagoon. I have had mostly good experience besides getting verified took a few days and multiple calls for me.

I've had generally good luck with them .. the verification took about three calls though, maybe four. This is my first issue with them, USPS taking a week to deliver it wasn't their fault (USPS is horrible, they delivered my package yesterday to another building and today left my package in my box without even letting me know) but I hope they ship this one via email rather than mail again. I would have assumed they would have either marked the card or tossed it out, perhaps even written the username of the person who redeemed it.

It says priority mail however rather than first class, so I assume its going to come faster than eight days.. They got it all solved though in a timely manner.

The offers with CPAL at the beginning weren't working well for me, only got one of those to go through. But they have a thread on the support forum about best results. Basically they tell you to turn off any antivirus programs, complete one offer at a time until it approves, enable cookies on your browser, and fill them in accurately. I was also using firefox with a lot of the orders. I found using Internet Explorer yields better results as other users will say the same.

As for keeping the windows open. I usually keep them open until I click the submit button. If it says you need to click a link in your email, I open another IE and keep everything open. Then I click the verify link in the email and THEN I hit submit. Once you hit submit there is no need to keep the windows open.

Also google ccleaner. I keep it open and after I hit Submit, I run the cleaner.

A lot of this may be overkill, but I want to be sure I get those points!

EDIT: Only 4 points away from that wiimote :D This current offer is taking a while to approve so bedtime now :P

They overestimate the shipping so they won't have kids asking the game came out yesterday why don't I have the game yet. They order the games through Amazon so it will ship the same time all Amazon pre orders for Stranglehold ship. The offers with CPAL at the beginning weren't working well for me, only got one of those to go through. But they have a thread on the support forum about best results. Basically they tell you to turn off any antivirus programs, complete one offer at a time until it approves, enable cookies on your browser, and fill them in accurately. I was also using firefox with a lot of the orders. I found using Internet Explorer yields better results as other users will say the same.

As for keeping the windows open. I usually keep them open until I click the submit button. If it says you need to click a link in your email, I open another IE and keep everything open. Then I click the verify link in the email and THEN I hit submit. Once you hit submit there is no need to keep the windows open.

Also google ccleaner. I keep it open and after I hit Submit, I run the cleaner.

A lot of this may be overkill, but I want to be sure I get those points!

EDIT: Only 4 points away from that wiimote :D This current offer is taking a while to approve so bedtime now :P

Also, more than just downloading CCleaner... download CCleaner Slim (or Lite, whichever is smaller) as it installs only the vital parts of CCleaner and not toolbars and bloatware and shit.

You do offers and then you get points for doing the offers. When you get 130 points you order the DS Lite from Gaminglagoon then they ship it to you within a day or two.

Offers are other sites to sites that try to make you sign up for more offers (the free offers). Others to get info on insurance, colleges and so on.

To get a DS you will also need to do some Credit Card offers also. e.g. Sign up for Stamps.com for a free trial.

What they said. And my advice is that you definitely do a few credit card offers - namely stamps.com, napster, emusic and some others I've forgotten about. Those give a fair few points, but also give you bonuses for the trial period. Stamps.com gives you 5 dollars in shippin credit, napster might give free music, and emusic will give you 25 free music downloads. And then you just cancel the accounts and rack in your free points!

The DS lite will be time consuming to get, but not impossible. I've earned just about 130 points on gaminglagoon and 45 points on prizerebel (both referral links are in my sig), so it just depends on what you want to put into the sites.

Oh, and DEFINITELY use a spam email when you sign up for the sites (and REAL info when you register). If you need an invite to gmail, let me know. They make the best spam accounts in my opinion.

PrizeRebel has its issues too. Namely the huge lack of offers when compared to GL. I use both, but am having a much harder time earning the points I need. I just did my second CC offer last night (Hear Me) and never received credit for it. That's 6.5 points! The first CC offer I did, stamps.com, also didn't credit me - though I did get manual credit from PR but they said they don't usually give manual credit for offers. So I'm worried about getting my 6.5 points. If I don't, I'll probably just "cash out" in the form of a Amazon.com gift card as it appears I can open a support ticket requesting a prize from Amazon, so I'll see if they can do a gift card.

Several people would, I'm sure .. not just me. If they offered it, it might actually be enough to get me to purchase a 360, or something else.. maybe a DS or PSP, I have points there but not enough to bother using them .. I could get two games, but I'm more of a rental guy. All my points are being used for currently would be wii points, and I figured if they do offer Amazon GCs in the future, that'd be awesome. But, hurray for CellFish! Finally a free cell phone offer. It takes about 10 minutes for approval and can be cancelled instantly after. And there is NO charge on this one! 1.12 quick points!

I can say that I signed up for Obopay. You'll need verification of your identity which can be a drivers license number, SSN, or credit card/debit card that will be debited twice (minor change) and you'll have to go back to Obopay to tell them what was debited to verify that it's your card.

You'll also need a valid CELL PHONE number that will be automatically called and you'll have to go back to Obopay and input the pin number given to you on your cell phone.

It worked very quickly for me. I haven't received my $10 debit card, but it's only been a few days.
Did anyone get their $10 debit card from Obopay? I didn't. That's really lame if you ask me, GL sent out an email backing Obopay individually, but they didn't come thru on their end of the deal. Worthless.
