I'm not even gonna try and find the quote, but the Halo guys says this is about as simple as H3 gets, they just wanted to make it a fun experience for the testers so they kept on playing. There's about 5 billion buzzword graphical effects that they are using that arn't in this build

Battle rifle and AR are in the game apparently.

Also, the alpha is a couple of months old. The green loading screen was addressed by frankie in a weekly updates months back, and he said he removed it.

Really people, that looks a lot better than Halo 2 already. I for one wouldn't be disappointed if the final build looks like that. I can't believe people are complaining about how it looks right now, it being the ALPHA build. Come on, it won't be released at least for another 8-10 months or so, if it doesn't get delayed, so don't get all pissy about the graphics yet.
