Ever since the Intercooler Fiasco I was pissed at Nyko. Thankfully they were reasonable enough to replace the product (though I would rather have had a refund). So I chose the Charge station as a replacement.... well turns out the Battery packs that come with he charge station don't even fit in the controller properly. Does anyone who owns this product have the same problem?

wow. That's shit. Kind of to be expected with nyko, but still shitty.

I have the nyko station. When i initially bought it, one of my batteries barely lasted an hour. I emailed them and they said if I sent it back to them they would replace it, so I did. I got my replacement and haven't really had any problems with it. I haven't had any problems with batteries fitting either. I'd recommend it, as it's a lot cheaper than MS's version and comes with 2 batteries.

I had one. The batteries didn't fit right in mine either. It worked through one charge, then the second time I tried to use it, one of the sides of the charger wouldn't charge.
I returned it and bought the Microsoft one.

well it seems arrrggghhh had the same issue as me, but not thrust. Weird, maybe some of them are just defectively shaped. Either way they DO work, but you have to Jam it in there and it's only in there loosely. It doesn't snap in like normal Xbox 360 charge pack batteries.

yes they do
OP I haven't heard anything about the charge station. I was looking at buying one, but went with the quick charge kit instead.

I'm just mad that I paid $30 for my charge station and just saw them in walmart tonight that now come with a play and charge kit included for the same price.

I almost bought one of these but now I'm glad I didn't. I'll pay the extra for the real quality product. Nyko does indeed suck. I had an intercooler and it broke down on me after a month of use. I didn't even bother replacing it. I just pitched it and accepted my wasted 20 bucks.

im not sure why the intercooler kills so many 360s. ive heard that its because it's parasitic & screws up the voltages + it also screws up the 360's own throttling by distributing the heat differently so the internal temp sensing makes bad decisions.

I bought the NYKO charge station at target a few days ago. I brought it home and it didn't work for shit. I took it back and invested an extra $17 in the official Microsoft Quick Charge Kit and an extra battery. If Nyko can't even get their shitty stuff to work out of the box, I would never trust it to work for very long if it did.
I recommend getting the official stuff. Mad Catz, Nyko, and Pelican suck ass. I don't know how these ghetto ass companies stay in business.

I have yet to see or read any definitive proof that the 360's cooling fans throttle.

I've only read bad things about it. Such as that it only partly charges the batteries.
I myself, have the official MS one, because it not only looks better, but is guaranteed to work 100% correctly. Also, it cost the same as the Nyko one ($30), and obviously 1st party is almost always better (except in the case of that wonderful wireless Logitech PS2 controller...I have 3! They are great!)
I did buy a second battery for it for $7 (official MS battery), so I guess technically it costs $7 more, but its so much better than the Nyko one. Both will pay for themselves eventually anyways.

I have no problems with my nyko charger, so I guess I must be in a minority. And where did you get a second battery for $7?

I had the charging problem with mine. I called them, they sent me a new one and a return envelope free of charge. The only issue I am having is the third battery (official MS) doesn't lock into the charger. I have to set something on top of the battery to keep the contacts touching so the battery fully charges.
As far as fitting into the controllers, I have had no issues.

They have must. My 360 is quiet at first. After playing for awhile I hear the fans kick up and make a lot of noise. And no it's not the DVD drive.

we would sell it at my gamecrazy at of about the 5 we sold 4 of them came back the same day, the other was apparently a gift and that one came back the day they got it. All those people ended up buying the offical quick charge kit instead.

it's just amusing how they replaced one usless product I bought from them with another mediocre one. Though I must admit at least it's better than the intercooler in that it actually works... abeit awkward and in and inferior manner.
