Xbox Live subscription card no good?

I got the Xbox Live vision camera with 1 year of Live today. I successfully redeemed the codes for Uno and Robotron, but for some reason, it will not allow me to redeem the most important part- the 1 year of Live. What the hell is the problem here? I have tried 10 times, both on my console and on Xbox.com.

well i don't think there's any work around to redeeming the code. what does it say? expired or incorrect?

Possibly confusing an O with a 0?

I doesn't say expired or incorrect, and there are no O's or 0's.

When I enter it on my system, it says the code is good, but will not allow me to complete the redemption.

Well, I haven't heard of anything like this, so I would think that your likely mixing up some letters or numbers here. The B and 8 look a lot alike too. So, I would try another look, maybe have another set of eyes take a look at it (you may just swear something is one letter, and someone else will see it differently).

If it still doesn't work, call customer service.

make sure you are entering the right number. If I recall correctly I tried entering the visble number on the card and didn't know about tearing the flap back to get the right number.
