I think this is probably the wrong forum, but I'm looking for some feedback on a site I created. Cheapy D helped me in the process (figuring out the best route to go and whatnot).

Anyway, lemme know what you think (and where I should move this).

Thanks!

It's a cool enough idea, for sure. Folks can list gift cards for trade here, but unless they're for electronics retailers, the giftcards are generally overlooked. Innovative.

To the OP, this belongs in Deal Discussions, not the Trading Forum.

Also, there's no need to for the bumping.

joined. Nice site although I prefer CAG's forum layout and it may need some feedback system. Great idea though.

Yeah--throw that in the suggestions. I'm going to retool it this weekend. Banner on its way and I'm working on the homepage.

Thanks

Not trying to hate or flame, but FYI... there is already a site out there that does this. I can't remember off the top of my head the name of the site, but it definitely has decent sized user base and giftcards from all major retailers are listed for trade. I used it myself to get rid of a Blockbuster card in exchange for EB/GS. I'll try and find it.

True--but there's a fee on that site. I wanted a free site :-)

Wait that doesn't exist? Ok, this will do.

Ah, I see. DIdn't realize there was a fee on the other site (I must've used a free trial when I did it or something... dunno). Anyways, good luck. The more traffic you get going through the site, the more of a success it'll be.

Sounds like a good enough idea, I can definately see a value in the site. I've gotten a couple gift cards in the past that I really didn't want and just regifted them ... would have been great to just get rid of them this way.

Edit: BTW, you may want to put a simple index.htm on the front page (www.giftcardcove.com (http://www.giftcardcove.com)) so that people aren't browsing your file system.
