Anyone else see a recent surge in collection numbers worth noting?

How many have CC and BB to blame?

my numbers surged from last week getting game number 297, too today getting number 318.

Yeah, I own 3 PS2 games, and I don't even own a PS2!!!!! But my GBA and GC #'s went up a bit too. I suspect after Sunday they will go up even more.

Of course, this goes back to the 16-bit era and include 17 different platforms.

BTW, Wal-mart has a Fellowes brand wooden rack for DVDs that holds about 240 games and/or movies for only $20. Not the best you can buy but very effective for the price.

If you get one of these don't the little separator blocks. They just waste space better used for games.

ill never reach 1000, im out of room now at almost 320, besides its no race anyway. I wanna enjoy some of what i got.

I topped out at something like 86 DC games(all legit). I thought about getting all NA DC games, about 250. But decided that I would never play them and it would be a waist of money.

A much better thing to talk about would be how many of those 100 you have beat or hell even opened. Are you collecting for the sake of playing or just collecting for the sake of collecting? I'm just kinda curious, only have about 30 something ps2 games myself and i'm having problems getting around to this or that.

That cannot happen for me since there are certain kinds of games I would only have for as long as it took to find a buyer. This is primarily the major sports categories: Football, Basketball, Baseball, etc. and most fighting games. This eliminates about 70 titles from the North American list. My DC collection stands at 101 games but comparing it to the list it appears pretty complete.

If I hadn't gotten rid of all my TurboGrafx/PC Engine stuff because in a moment of stupidity I thought I was done with it all and would the cash on something else, my collection would be up by about 200 items.

I have about 45 Xbox games. I've actually slowed my buying down over the past few weeks, and didn't manage to get in on the recent CC $5 deal. A month or so after I got the Box (in January) I figured it would be cool if I eventually had 50 titles, now I think I may eventually get to 100. Although I'm also considering starting to sell off the games I've played through to offset the costs.

Of my games I've probably finished or nearly finished 30, 10 I plan to get to eventually/currently playing (or are the type that you don't really finish - like Midway Arcade Treasures), and 5 I played some amount between < an hour to halfway through before deciding the game was just too awful to invest my time.

I've got like...26....since getting a PS2 for Christmas.
Got good deals on most of them. Paid 'full price' for
Karaoke Revolution
Eyetoy
CoN [did have the gamers card]
Culdcept
Disgaea
and that's about it
everything else was ~20 bucks or less.
Only beaten 2 of them, and one I'm at the 'close enough' stage.

Those 'awful' ones...do you keep them? I've got some games that I just don't like, and I've got them listed on Half.com. If I don't like it, or know someone who might, I'm getting rid of it--unless I would only get like .50 for a game I paid 30 bucks for. If I can sell a game for no more than 7 dollars less than I paid for it, I call that a deal [since BB wants 6.xx per rental.] But games I don't like, I don't care to keep just to keep them.
