This got buried in the sticky/merge so I thought it should be reposted so people can actually find the list. This was originally posted by RavenHawk so he deserves the credit.

Thanks to Drakken for the recent update.

Many thanks to CrashSpyro123 for bringing this to our attention!

Thanks goes out to trustcompany1013 also for mentioning this in his thread...guess the sale started a little earlier than expected!

Speculation is that CC may be getting in more games from their warehouses, so don't give up. I personally know of 2 CC's that have the games pulled until the sale officially starts, so once again...don't give up! And ladies and gentlemen, don't forget to tip your listkeeper! *cough*Ikaruga*cough*

I went in to the local CC today to see if they had any games left. To my surprise, they had a couple I was able to snag, but what follows is much more important.

I was walking around with my printed out list and they employee noticed and said the list wasn't very accurate. So Sword of Mana isn't $4.99, I know. I already tried that. So I told him that I know, but it's pretty good. He goes away and next thing you know, he comes back with a copy of the master list. He said I could use it to look, but I had to give it back.

I was able to scan the images, and the links are posted below. They were kindly copied for me by a nice young lady that works at the local CC. I had never met her before, but we struck up a conversation, and she very kindly agreed to make the copy when I asked. So I don't think the other employee wanted me to take the list, but I didn't! I took a copy of the list. Hehehehe.

These were being used to pull the games from the shelves for Sunday's ad. This is a list of all the $4.99 games they supposedly had in stock. I didn't see even close to this many actually on the shelves, but this should give a better idea of what's out there, and will add to the list considerably. If anyone else can snag one, please post it. Store information blacked out as a niceity.

It does seem to be missing some pages. I don't recall what was on the missing pages. I know one of them had the GH titles from PS2 that were $4.99. Unfortunately though, they scan wrong unless you peel the sticker UPC off. Sorry that they're not here.

I repeat, games the store did not have are not on this list.

Dynasty Warriors 3 may be YMMV. I had it scanned at the middletown, NY CC yesterday, and it either came up $19.99 or $39.99, but definitely not $4.99. I had them scan both DW3 and DW4 just to make sure.

Just a couple of corrections:

Bloodwake is not a GCN game (Xbox only)
Disaster Report is not an Xbox game (PS2 only)

and add Moto GP 2 to the PS2 list as well.

The "official" list just shows what is in stock at that particular store and it is also missing some pages. It's helpful to see if there's some titles that we have missed, but it is in no way a complete list.

I just noticed a pretty big one that must have gotten lost in the merging of the threads.

MarioKart: Double Dash (only the one that includes the bonus demo disc) should be added to the list for GCN.

So before there's a hundred posts about MKDD ringing up at $49.99, this is only the version with the demo disc included. Look for a red banner in the bottom right hand corner.

Hey guys, I'm new here, but when I went yesterday to two different CC's located near me... nothing was left. The only games that were left were the newest stuff. I am hoping the stores will receive there last or a new stock soon. I am so sad! :(

I'll probably start editing my list at about 3 o'clock or so (Indiana Time). I'm kinda inclass right now so I should at least pay a little bit of attention. :P

I made a visit to my local Circuit City on Sunday. They had plenty of stuff, but little that was actually on the list. I made another visit to another one Monday, and they had plenty of stuff, just not the $4.99 ones. They couldn't have pulled the stuff for the sale, because Viewtiful Joe and Disgaea (the only games I'm looking for) showed up as out-of-stock on the computer.

Anyways, since stores have already started pulling the games, I'll wait until the sale starts on Sunday. Please please please, let Disgaea and Viewtiful Joe be there. Think Best Buy will agree to price match?

So, don't worry about updating it. I'll post the updated version once I finish.

1) Thank you, and Rabidmuskrat, and everyone else who has been making contributions.

2) I haven't checked the scans, but PSO I&II GC still needs to be on the master list. Not many stores are going to have this, though.

I think most of the stores screwed up because the definatley did not pull any games for the Sunday sale. I picked up 9 games and most of the games I wanted were already gone. I also heard a CC employee asking the manager where are the 4.99 games? They were on break and looking to buy some... but that store was already cleaned out before I got there.

I found the Namco Collection for GCN yesterday.

Nothing else that wasn't already on the list.

Still don't see Legend of the River King 2 (GBC) on there, but it should. Doubt anyone else will find it though...

That list is not accurate.

You are missing a bunch of titles.

CC is clearing out pretty much anything, besides new releases. If it's a 2003 game, or older, it's probably $5.

I wonder if the stores will actually have anything to put out for sunday. All I know is that I see employees going around with the list and buying them... =/

*sigh* I don't wanna sell, all I want is a copy of disgaea to play. =/

What titles are missing? It's more helpful if you can add titles to the list.

Look for a red banner in the bottom right hand corner.

holy shit! that makes me kick myself for buying one for $33.74 not long after it came out.

sadly, finding the copy with the demo version will be tricky.

So we all have to case our local CCs again this Sunday to see if they put the stock back out?!?!?!?

well i bet some of the fools buying up games just bc they are $4.99 will return them when they realize that they cant profit much off them. they will see ebay getting flooded and say "fuck it" and return a ton of games.

Road Trip is definately YMMV, both stores I went to it rang up as $15, even though it was on one of their own lists.

What's Xtreme Legends supposed to be? Dynasty Warriors 3 Xtreme Legends or Dynasty Warriors 4 Xtreme Legends or both?

The truck for my CC was supposed to come in yesterday. So I'm going back today to check it out. It pays to know the truck days.

I have combined Ravenhawk's list with the CC lists from JohnnyA's .jpg scans; AFAIK, this is a fairly complete list of all titles on sale. As newer titles are discovered, I'll append to this list. Seeing as many titles are cross-platform, if you're looking for a specific title on one platform, check the others to see if it's listed. If available, use a spreadsheet for easier maintenance (also takes up less paper)

Road Trip is definately YMMV, both stores I went to it rang up as $15, even though it was on one of their own lists.

Extra Value Stickers are causing a lot of confusion with this sale. If the game has the Extra Value Sticker on it, it will not ring up as $4.99. If you find the same game without the stickers, it will ring up as $4.99. If you can convince the cashier to scan the barcode under the sticker, it will ring up as $4.99. It's the stickers that are causing people to think this is YMMV.

Yeah, I had no luck getting them to peel back the sticker on VF4 the other day. :(

I have combined Ravenhawk's list with the CC lists from JohnnyA's .jpg scans

:o

I just finished doing the same exact thing, but I added the newly reported $4.99 games as well and made a bunch of corrections.

Darn it, I had all the new games bolded, but they show up as normal text. Anyone know how to fix this, besides going through the whole list again and bolding all the titles?

I went there today. My Circuit City was nice enough to have all of the 4.99 games in a bin. They had them marked all nice and neatly. I picked up Wipeout Fusion, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, State of Emergency, Haven: Call of the King, Red Faction 2, and Maximo: Ghosts to Glory. all i can say is HELL YEA!!!

For your unknown games, the numbers on the list I posted are UPC codes, so you can plug them into a UPC lookerupper, on amazon or wherever, and it will tell you what they are.

Did it actually have the Player's Choice logo on the box art or was it just the PC sticker? The sticker version rang up for $4.99 for me while the other version did not.

I was able to find out 2 of the 4 by using the UPC Database.

Rabidmuskrat, can you move Treasure Planet from Unknown Consoles to PS2? Also, move Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX from Unknown Consoles to PS1, and change it to Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX: Maximum Remix.

Also, move the DC list (only one game) at the end to the beginning.

Ok, I just called another store near my work, and the employee said they have mulitple copies of most games that they pulled off the shelf. They are debating wheather to put them in a bin, or place them back on the shelves with the discount. I asked him well when would be the best time to find out if the games will be discounted. He notified me later this afternoon.

I will most likely go after work and try to sly my way into having the employees take most games from the back and ring them up. :D

I wanted to let you guys know that some locations at least ARE restocking.

I had already shopped the $4.99 sale at my neighborhood CC, but since Wednesday is restocking day, I decided to go back when they opened this morning at 10:00 just to check. Lo and behold, they did indeed get new inventory. In fact, the new inventory games were still loaded on a distribution cart just sitting in the video game section. I ended up getting 13 more games this morning.

So I would not say this deal is over quite yet. Any sale games still in the distribution chain will eventually end up on the store shelves, so just keep looking.

I think I know why the Morrowind GOTY has YMMV next to it. The Platnium hits version that says GAME OF THE YEAR is not the Game of the Year Edition that is featured on the list. The GOTY on the PH version is just signifying that it won Game of the year. The actual Game of the Year edition has new content from the PC expansion packs and is NOT a Platnium Hits title.

The San Rafael CA Circuit City put out a couple of copies of GC Freedom Fighters today in the PS2 section. nyuck. There is still Metropolismania, a couple other titles. Most are gone. I let DMC pass the other day, thinking only 2 was on the list, now it is gone.

No kidding. How can your manager allow you to hold 2 carts full of games for yourself? A few games, I could see, but 2 carts? That's unethical and poor business practices, what about the customers? You know, the pains in your ass that buy items from your store which allows it to stay open, which in turn allows you to have a job there. When I worked at Target, employees were never allowed to hold items in that quantity for themselves. Your manager needs a smack in the face along with you,

if you look at most business employee manuals, holding is not allowed at all. Most managers just look the other way on holding, meaning they don't care as long as their employer doesn't walk thru the door.

I used to work at Bestbuy, and having the games acutally hidden? Probably not. BB and CC use similar systems to inventory their merchandise so, if you asked an employee to look it up in their inventory system, it would show the game(s) being there, assuming they were being hidden.

Yeah, that's real bad form. When I worked at CC, I was allowed to hold a game, but only in a situation when I was working that day and I was going to purchase it when I clocked out. In that case, I held it behind the CS counter. In all other cases, it was a strict no-no. They weren't going to allow me or anyone else free layaway

I don't think CC workers should be penalized because they work at CC.

If I was on shift and I learned all these games were $5 and, because I was on shift, I couldn't buy any - it would drive me nuts.

Two carts full might be a tad overkill, maybe you should just grab 20 or so games you REALLY want and let the others go. Still, good on you for getting some stuff you want.

I mean seriously, good for you, but why make an account just to brag about it.... My CC had a PS2 game called 'Kengo' I believe it was, that I don't see on the list.
Just got back from CC, they had 2 cardboard bins with games in/near the game section. I guess maybe 200-300 games combined [hard to tell, I didn't really count] between GbA, PS1, PS2, GC, Xbox. Big sign on it saying 4.99 Video Game Clearance. Some other guy was asking the clerk what the deal was, he said they wouldn't be 'getting more' because it was a 'discontined/clearance sale, to get rid of inventory.' However, he did put a few more in the box as I was there, so maybe they're pushing stock from the back, because the actual shelves both today and yesterday were not very full at all.
Selection [at least PS2-wise] was very lacking at my store, it could be the 'good stuff' is not out yet, or already gone, etc.
I got:
Maximo [GH]
Roadkill
Summoner [they didn't have 2 that I saw]
Fur Fighters
Road Trip
Fantavision

Other PS2 games they had were some Jampacks, Herdy Gerdy, Okage, Bust a Move, Headhunter, Legaia 2, MetropolisMania, City Crisis, Big Mutha Truckers, Mobile Light Force, and a few more. I'll go back out tomorrow and Sunday to see if they're putting more stock out.

Zenithian Legend: *clapclapclap*. Buying a few I can see. Buying two carts, before a sale officially starts, especially rare games, is being a jerkass. CC is losing money on this sale, I'm pretty sure. If they lose money, they can't afford to pay for things like, oh, salary. If word gets out that CC employees are getting 'the good stuff' before it even hits the floor, then consumers get pissed and say Well fine, why should I bother shopping there? Eventually good stuff gets to the floor, and there are no consumers to buy it. Thus no income, thus no job.

I'm not saying they'd penalize, just that I could only put it aside if I was in a position where I couldn't make the purchase at that time. Never an overnight holdover, though - that isn't an employee getting a disadvantage, that's an employee taking advantage. Customers can't hold games over ever. You know know the number of times that I got screamed at over the phone "WHY THE F NOT" when I told a customer that store policy wouldn't allow me to pull a certain in demand item off the shelves for when they came in. This was particularly a problem because I started work when the PS2 came out and people went nuts looking for them.

^^^ maybe he/she does have one of each game. The list is awefully long.

General statement:
I don't find employees hording them any different than anyone else hording them. I personally think if you don't intend to keep it don't buy it. If not, don't be a hypocrit and buy multiple copies of the value titles so you can sell them for more than what you paid. I like that some bought extras to sell at the same price on here to help others out. What I don't like is someone buying them only to try and sell them for 15 or higher to quote on quote make up their expenses. You (not directed at ^; just in general) are just doing the same as the employee in question.

Yes, this guy was rewarded, and good for him. He works a shitty job. I've worked at retail stores - getting in on the deals before the customer does is one of the FEW perks they have. These people get shit on ALL DAY LONG. So good for the guy that he's using some of his hard earned money to buy the games for himself. And good for the manager on being a nice guy and keeping his employees happy. That still wouldn't stop employees from buying two shopping carts full of games, since the employees would be the ones to (selectively) enforce the policy. Just like price matching or anything else, it's never consistent. Like this kid storing two carts full of games for five days in the warehouse...could a regular customer walk up with even one game and say "hey this is going to go on sale this Sunday, can you hold it in the back for me?" They'd laugh in your face. Have you ever called on the phone and found what you were looking for, and asked them to hold it overnight for even just one day? They don't do it for customers, that's their policy. But the policy is subject to change apparently...it's like asking the foxes to guard the chicken coop.

I made my fourth trip since Sunday to the local CC. I had a bunch of stuff scanned and found a few $4.99 games that I have not seen on any lists.

They are:
Ghost Recon (Gamecube)
Apex (Xbox)
IndyCar Series (Xbox) (NOTE: There is also an IndyCar Series 2005 game -- IT IS NOT ON SALE AS FAR AS I KNOW)

According to a friend of mine, Tony Hawk 3 for the Gamecube and XBox is also $4.99. (I did not verify this myself).
Tony Hawk 4 still scans as regular price for both Gamecube and Xbox.

I could not find a non-PH version of Ghost Recon for the XBox, so I do not know if that version is part of the sale as well.
Ghost Recon: Island Thunder(Xbox) and Rainbow Six 3(Xbox) are both still regular price.

I just stopped at the Circuit City in Roseville, MI. Looks like they were pulling some games off the shelf.

I DID pick up though:
Dead to Rights (PH)
Star WArs: Clone Wars (woohoo...a LIVE game)

They didn't have much else in XBOX. Looked like Mojo, Syberia (not sure if it worked though), Quantum Redshift, The Thing and NFL Blitz Pro.

I tried to get LOTR:Two Towers, but did not work (it was the normal copy, not PH)

Tried, Namco Museum and a Morrowmind (PH), didn't work.

It's not your right to get a deal earlier than all other customers. As an employee of the store, that gives you no more entitlement than any other. If that drives you insane, then I don't know what to tell you, take some Paxil or something. He was rewarded for nothing. The job at CC isn't so shitty - if he worked at a TRU, I'd say good for him because that job legitimately sucks, but working at a CC isn't particularly difficult and it pays better than most other part time jobs.

could a regular customer walk up with even one game and say "hey this is going to go on sale this Sunday, can you hold it in the back for me?"

in a store like CC no. But you could always be smart and go ahead and buy it , return it sunday and get an extra 10% off your purchase.

It is a perk of their job to get first dibs. If it isn't for the sale until sunday, of course they are going to have them in the back to begin with. If this one employee wants to buy them, I don't see the difference in them buying it or a customer who would buy the same two carts. I luckily got a few things before the dealers rampaged thru my store so I know it happens. I personally don't see the difference between the two.

No One Lives Forever
Drakan: The Ancient Gates
Blood Omen 2
Beyond Good and Evil
Parappa 2
Wallace & Gromit
RE Code: Veronica

Now I'm not saying for sure that they restocked, just that there were games there I hadn't seen on Sunday. Although this time they were all neatly in a bin for my buying convenience. And what's all this racket about Disgaea that everyone's talking about? I had to wade through a bunch of em just to get to the good games!

How happy has his manager made the other 25-30 folks who work at Circuit City?

It's stupid no matter how you look at it. I think it's pretty dubious whether it's even true, but if it is, then the manager has really made a poor decision. If regular customers are able to buy the games, then let the kid buy them after work or call his momma or something. Letting the kid hold two shopping carts full of games in the warehouse for five days is the worst possible decision that manager could have made under the circumstances.

That's cool, I have no problem with people that even buy carts full of games by finding them at the store legitamitely. Hell, you find them first, you have every right to buy whatever you want and how many you want. I do have major issues with employees of said store hiding carts full of games in the back until the sale starts, going in on Sunday, going straight to the back and buying 2 carts full of games before they even hit the shelf. That's just being an asshole. Especially when this dude got the list from a member here who was nice enough to share it with him and who knew nothing of the sale until this person told him about it. Then comes on here, bragging about how all the games are hidden in the back for "meeeee". People have no ethics.

It happens at every retail store on the planet, so don't be all upset that this one time at this one CC over this one deal it happened. I'm sure the guys who work at Best Buy put away a bunch of games for themselves when that sale was going on, too.

I didn't literally mean it'd drive you insane, it would just be irritating. It's right in your reach, a copy of $5 Disgaea, and you can't touch it because you work there. That's lame to me.

And I've never worked at CC, but I have worked at CompUSA, and even with the higher pay the job still sucks. About 90% of the customers you see in a day are assholes who think you are completely worthless because you work a retail job - they treat you like shit, order you around like a slave, and generally have bad attitudes.

The difference is this kid is able to sit on two shopping carts full of games until the sale begins, and that's not right. It's not at all the same as a pricematch. You know what IS the same as a pricematch? A PRICEMATCH! Let the kid do what anyone else would have to do...put two shopping carts full of games on his AMEX and then PM them on Sunday when they go to $4.99. What, can't afford to do that? Too bad...then pick out the ones you really want and put the rest back on the shelf, and on Sunday PM the ones you bought, and cross your fingers on the others. Just like everyone else, nothing special, no penalty and no reward. That's the fair way to handle it as a manager.

Sometimes there are no other jobs. I'm sure if this guy is working retail he's either really young (17 ish), or he can't find work anywhere else. Nobody's first choice is to work retail, unless you plan on being a manager or something.

Every job has rules and every rule at jobs get broken. You think this is the first time this has happened? Employees at restaurants aren't supposed to eat except on their lunch breaks - you think they don't sneak a french fry off your plate before they bring it out to you? My point is, you seemed shocked that this happened, when this is probably the most common thing that employees in retail stores do.

I'm sure the kid didn't take ALL the games his fellow employees wanted - not everyone who works at CC wants video games. I'm sure they divided them all up and everyone was happy with what they got.

Yeah, let him call his mom, who probably has to drive 30 minutes to the CC where her kid ALREADY IS. That makes zero sense. I agree this situation is a little extreme if it's true - 2 shopping carts for 5 days is a bit much - but in a typical situation if an employee was holding 15 or so games for himself when he got off work it wouldn't bother me at all and it shouldn't bother you either.

It comes down to ethics

good thing you bring up ethics. Ethics also deal with real world situations. Notice, this site for instance, a lot of ethics are thrown out the window in about half of these threads. For instance, someone bumped a thread about buy 2 get 1 at TRU and returning games you bought so you get to keep the free game. Damn how unethical is that. Releasing company information before something happens is unethical too. If the sale truly is sunday, it was release early making it unethical.

I am sorry that you might not get everything you want. I didn't get everything I wanted from my CC sale. But you know what, shit happens. Just wait until the next sale to try and grab what you want.

Holding 15 games isn't at all the same thing, as you pointed out. Is that what we're discussing? No, it's not. So why change the scenario? That has no relevence. Loading up two shopping carts full of games and storing them in the back for five days is not only unfair to customers but to the other Circuit City employees. Ahh ok, moral relativism. Since someone else is throwing ethics out the window, let's all do it? Nice.

The sale is not Sunday, the sale is now. That's why the games are ringing up for $4.99 and the employees are putting them in special bins and marking them with $4.99 stickers.

every CC employee I have talked to has claimed the sale was supposed to start 7/11 this coming sunday. Even in someone letter to CC that is posted somewhere on it, it says it starts 7/11. Obviously, some glitch caused it to start a week early. Instead of correcting it, the company decided to try and pull some. Thats why you find some stores with them all in the back while others continue to sell.

Normally yes... but this is a CLEARANCE sale... those games are at a must buy price for a reason. If it were one per customer, it would take much longer to liquidate their inventory. They don't care who buys these games or how many each customer snaps up, they just want them gone.

there were alot of people coming in with lists grabbing games left and right.once i heard of this i snagged alot for myself. my manager said i couldnt buy them since the sale isnt supposed to be on yet...it should be on this upcoming sunday. i have like 2 carts full of games in the warehouse for meeee...and which ever one fo you guys who gave me a list then thank you I <3 you. Most of those games on the list are 4.99 i can confirm that but alot of the smaller CC's have a limited stock on them...BUT good news. if its a smaller one then they have a binder with all the games CC's in that area are supposed to carry. Tell them lazy people to type the UPC in the computer to see what they have. thats how the smaller CC's do inventory on games and movies...we have a binder with titles and UPC's if u ahve anymore questions feel free to IM this sn RiotoftheBl00d on AIM. no dumb quesitons...spanks alot

Yes, knives is a dirtbag, but his manager should be sent packing as well:
a) From reading this, it sounds like this kid was SHOPPING while he's supposed to be WORKING. That's some fine managing skills right there!
b) The store is supposed to be clearing out old merchandise, and he's letting two CARTS of product rot in his warehouse while it could be selling right now? Awesome inventory control, dude!

The smart thing to do if he caught this punk shopping on the job, let the rest of the employees that want games get 4 or 5 on their break, drag his carts over to the register in electronics, slap a $4.99 sign on it, and make this dipShit ring up people buying HIS games.

A couple of games I noticed but that were not on the list

Star Wars Rogue Leader - GC
XMen: Next Dimension - XBOX

BTW, I went to the Manchester, NH store. I'm thinking I might be the only CAG in this area.

b) The store is supposed to be clearing out old merchandise, and he's letting two CARTS of product rot in his warehouse while it could be selling right now? Awesome inventory control, dude!

read the post of hers. it says they pulled to start their sale on sunday. Nice way to read, dude!

just in case you forgot...
my manager said i couldnt buy them since the sale isnt supposed to be on yet...it should be on this upcoming sunday.

I don't know if anyone has said this but there is no way that anyone can have an official list. The list that each store got was just a list of games that is clearence at their store. Their are probably tons of games that my circuit city doesn't have that are clearence at other circuit city's. I just want to make sure that people know this.

lol hi im new here...i work at a CC in Springfield, PA
there were alot of people coming in with lists grabbing games left and right.once i heard of this i snagged alot for myself. my manager said i couldnt buy them since the sale isnt supposed to be on yet...it should be on this upcoming sunday. i have like 2 carts full of games in the warehouse for meeee...and which ever one fo you guys who gave me a list then thank you I <3 you.

C'mon guys...do you actually believe this guy is for real? He's just trying to get a rise out of us. Nice job, you did it - now go back to lurking, troll.

Tried, Namco Museum and a Morrowmind (PH), didn't work.

were they totally cleaned out? last time i was there was on sunday, and they had virtually nothing left by then.

also, did you happen to ask about the "official" start of the sale on sunday? like if they had games in the back or whatnot? the reason is that i work on sunday, and i'll probably be able to sneak out to get to that specific location, so i'm hoping that they may have some extra games.

if not, that's cool. i know that whenever i go to a store i try not to talk to anyone. but if you have some extra information that would be great. thanks.

Just got back from a CC today -- there was a copy of Kessen 2 for PS2 in their $4.99 bin and it did indeed ring up at $4.99

(as a note, this was yet another person making a trip to the Roseville, MI store) I was told that the few $4.99 games they had in the bin were it (there weren't any more to put out). The bin wasn't marked and was next to a bin of DVD's, so it wasn't an obvious part of the games department.

I too went to the Wilkes Barre, PA CC this evening. There were two clearly marked bins with quite a few games in them. I picked up 8 games and they had a promo (came in the mail) since it was a grand opening that you got a gift card back for 10% of your 50.00 purchase only valid today 7-7-04.
So 8 games + a coke=50.00, then a 5.11 gift card back, so I got one more game.

Newbie here, hello!

Neeways, I just saw Syberia on "The List", and I just got it today w/o knowing it was 5, and bought it for 20! From what I understand from reading some posts, that new sticker barcodes on the games don't work, and the barcode printed on the case is the actual way to get the game @ 5 dollars. Does anyone know if I can do back and show them this and possibly get a refund or something?

I just found out the news I didn't want to hear. I found out about the CC sell on tuesday after just going to the store the day before. I have been wanting Disgaea for probably the last two months. So I decided to go back Wed to see if they restocked and they did, but with more crap I didn't want. Nothing was even descent they didn't even have anything worth trading. I asked the guy if he is getting any more shipments by Sunday for when the sell officially starts which is the 11th and he said NO. It pisses me off so bad that I couldn't get Disgaea. If any of you got it and will to trade r sell it, please send me a pm or an email to DMiles1004@hotmail.com

PS2

Galerians:Ash
Harvest Moon
Herdy Gerdy
Maximo
Mystic Heroes
Naval Ops: Warship Gunner
Parappa the Rapper 2
Rygar x 2
Zone of Enders 2

GBA
Megaman Battle Network 2
Spiderman
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts

GC
Bomberman Generation
Dragon's Lair 3D
Legends of Wrestling 2

Xbox
Legends of Wrestling 2
XGRA

I'm willing to trade most of them for the ones I was looking for, so look in the trade forum if you're interested in any of these.

Thanks guys for putting the list together. It was definitely helpful until CC got their bins set up. Frankly, I was surprised I find anything at all. Hopefully on Sunday there'll be a restock.

This won't be a revelation but here is perfect evidence of why you can't trust what employees tell you.

I went to the north Fort Worth location Monday. They had signs up that the 4.99 would not be honored as it was a mistake, and the list of games was not supposed to be that long. As a result they had an awesome selection. Pikmin, Splinter Cell, LOTR, Indiana Jones, Panzer Dragoon etc. I got a handful , paid sticker price and went to another CC that wasn't run by asshats and got a PA.

I didn't have time to go yesterday. Today I go back and guess what. Yesterday they had set up a 4.99 bin and the selection was demolished.

So much for a glitch. Now it's possible that some stuff was put back but I doubt it.

All this makes me ask. Where exactly is everyone getting the 11th from?

I've had people in 2 other stores tell me it was supposed to start yesterday, and obviously the asshat store strated thier's yesterday.

This is basically a clearance that CC badly needed to prepare for the fall. If it is going to be advertised, no stores would be honoring the deal now, in order ro meet demand when the ad hits.

I'm not saying it's not true but I can't help but be skeptical.

Quick thoughts on the employee deal. If the original poster was legit I don't think he literally meant 2 carts. In the case of a clearance like this employees have a right to take advantage of the deal as long as it is not abused.

If you're working at CC and you see Disagea, you know damn well you're putting it under ounter till you can buy it. Now when Halo 2 comes out and people are lining up, an employee would likely be fired for stashing copies. Customers would come first.

Now if Knife has a stack of games in the back for Sunday, then I don't blame him. If he really does have 2 carts then yes that is abuse, and the manger is failing at his job.

Well, I went to my local CC here in Orlando, FL (on E. Colonial drive) and the employee told me and my friend that the sale wouldn't start until next week. On the way out though me and my friend noticed this bin with a bunch of games in it, seemed as if it was pillaged to me(kind of like as if there had recently been a sale). We didn't try to buy any of the games because 1. they sucked and 2. there was no sign on the bin indicating that the 4.99 deal applied to the games in the bin. So me and my friend left CC dissapointed and pissed. That jackass better not have lied on the whole "the deal is next week" thing. Me and my friend are gonna hit it early on sunday...

I went into one CC yesterday and the kid working there told me the sale starts on the 11th, but the games are already marked down in the Database.
I went to another CC today and the employees had pulled all the $4.99 games out of their security cases, tagged them at $4.99, and dumped them into a couple of shopping carts. There were also signs up everywhere in the video game sections that said "Limit 3 $4.99 Games".

I think it all depends on which CC you go to...

Like everyone's been saying only the version that comes with the demo disc is $4.99 (it has a different UPC). Checking the regular one is a waste of time as it is already well known that the plain version without the demo disc is still full price.

There is no game on the GBA called "WWE: Day of Reckoning" as that's a soon-to-be released GCN title. Edit the game title to " WWE Road to Wrestlemania X8". That was released on the GBA, not "Day of Reckoning".

Add "Invincible Iron Man" (GBA) to that list, and also add "Defender of the Crown" (GBA) to that list, I'm so glad I scored a copy for 4.99. I love that game and have fond memories playing it on the NES. I didn't know it was on the list either, but, hey, it was on the bin and I got it for 4.99. So, it might be YMMV, but I think it's probably a national deal, I mean, I bet the game didn't even sell 5 copies.

Here's my haul for a total spent of less than 20 dollars:

http://z-5.net/Nephets/CCB1.jpg

http://z-5.net/Nephets/CCB2.jpg

I'm surprised I found those in that bin, where anyone could just take the games for profit, I found 3 good games in there for 4.99 each, yay for being lucky!

I still want my Bloodrayne (GCN), Mega Man: NT, and Chu Chu Rocket, though. No one buy them for me, please. I'll find a way to get them, I wouldn't mind trading for them, though...

But, I didn't get as many as last time, however, I got the only real interesting titles in there: I was tempted to get the Iron Man GBA game: Invincible Iron Man, since I'm a huge Iron Man fan, but, it wasn't worth it. The reviews make the game seem completely average, and that's not what I want out of my precious Iron Man.

Posted the 8 pages of official CC list I snagged at my local Circuit City the other day. I was looking through the games yesterday and looked down and there was the list sitting by its self, so I grabbed it as I was leaving. Granted it is only the inventory at my local store, but 8 pages is 8 pages, enjoy, I think there are a few not on our list yet, my local store also had Rebel Assualt II for the PS1

Add to the list:

Pirates: Legend of Black Kat (XB)
Buffy: Chaos Bleeds (XB)

Nice find with the list. You missed blacking out the store name on one...

Just got back from the two CC's closest to me.
Either they've got a bunch of stuff in back or to be restocked on Sunday, or they sold all but the crap so far.
Between two stores, there was maybe 1.5-2 bins worth of games spread out among two bins.
I pretty much only looked for PS2, and I saw dozens of Pryzm, two X-Squad things, a couple Roadkills, and one MDK2.
Activision Anthology scanned at 19.99 at one store, and was on the 19.99 rack at the other store.
I guess I'm done, unless someone hears more about restocking for Sunday.

Oh well I don't work there, I just found the list, nothing wrong with that

Damn the list got twice as big in a weeks time. Are they compensating for there mistake by making more games $4.99??? And when they put out the ad will they have a list of games that will be $4.99?? Because then I could go to like the walmarts and targets and best buys and frys and other price matching stores and get the games I want from the ad.

The ad contents were posted earlier today. It just says something generic like "Select Video Games - $4.99".

Circuit City near me had two bins marked 4.99 Clearance... both were pretty much empty and what was left consisted of mainly demo disks. Picked up Roadkill for PS2 (which is actually a decent game it seems.. especially for 5 bucks). Will probably check back on Sunday in case they were saving some of the good stuff.

I still picked up 5 games at one CC, 8 at another and a whopping 17 at another yesterday that had hardly been touched. Thinking of driving to another CC, but it's a hour away, not sure if it is worth it. Insanely enough I think I have spent about $400-500 so far at all the different CC on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Wasn't really anything interesting in the 2 bins at my local CC. However, I did notice there were a bunch of titles that had not been there earlier, so they may be getting more in. Hopefully even more by Sunday.

Most stores have a policy of not price-matching items on clearance. This probably won't work.

Don't know how so, was there any $$ value to the pieces of paper I took?

The issue is not the monetary value of the paper, or even the value of the intellectual property, but rather that it was the property of the store, and you took it without permission.

That's a great rationalization for theft.

There's not a bit of dollar value to the Father's Day card my kids made me, sitting close to my front door, but if someone grabs it on their way out it would certainly be considered theft.

San Rafael store was pulling 4.99 games to place in the bin yesterday. I'll drop in when they open and see if there's anything new.

Add Jet Grind Radio for Dreamcast - they have it in the Minneapolis area.

ok, i went to my CC the other day, and it had a bunch of these games, but none marked 4.99 or clearance or anything. Do you have to ring one up to see if it's 4.99 or what?

PSX:
Syphon Filter II

Kessen
State of Emergency

is there a way to check the price before going to the register? I dont want to to bring a bunch of games to the register only to find out that they are not 4.99 and then feel like a moron when I tell the guy I don't want any of them.

Went today and picked up:

Wrestlemania XIX - GC

Klonoa: Empire of Dreams - GBA

I don't think Klonoa is on the list...or at least it wasn't the last time I checked the list.

The games at my CC are in the process of being moved to the bins, but there's not much left that's worth buying. I asked the cashier, and she said she's not expecting more shipments...once they sell out of what they have, that'll be it.

Still after that elusive Pikmin :(

oh, and Ape Escape as well

That store was pretty much picked clean by noon on Sunday. I was one of about 5 people there with lists that morning. The West Broad and Brice locations have also already been ravaged.
