4 Swords is awesome, but you need 4 GBA and cables to enjoy it correctly. (All the Mario Party games are good, but 6 is probably my favorite--and I have all 7.)

Anything "Mario" - Party, of course, but I've had more success with Kart. Beware cracking out Melee, as its speed may turn many people off. But you don't want these people as friends, anyway.

Monkey Ball 1 & 2 and Wario Ware Inc.

I agree with Monkey Ball 1 and 2. They multiplayer is excellent on those games and simple to play.

Mario Kart: Double Dash
Not the best Mario Kart game, but still a solid cart racer that's lots of fun with friends.

Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix looks like it'll be very fun in multiplayer mode, although I've only played the game in single player mode.

Pac Man Vs. is such a fun party game.
Give the people a few minutes to learn the controls and they will be playing for hours!

Monkey Ball 1, Mario Party 4/5 (but you have to unlock the minigames for it to be a good party game...don't know about 6/7, I was ready to stop buying after 4 because I already felt ripped off buying so many of the same games with slight alterations), Smash Bros for sure...uhh all I can think of that are REALLY fun for parties. Mario Kart is alright if you're into racing...but smash bros, monkey ball, and mario party and more wide open since the fights or minigames are fairly short and theres a good assortment...

Timesplitters 2 if you like FPS and don't have it for another console.
Lots of good suggestions so far, but missing the most important one: Wario Ware
The multiplayer is *so* good.

Bomberman is a great party game and you can get it cheap. Both are good, but I liked Generations better than Jetters.

I'll throw in a vote for Mario Superstar Baseball. I don't know why, but that game was damn fun with a group of people of all different gaming backgrounds (zero to veteran).
Not nearly as entertaining by yourself though.

If you have the GBAs and cables, any of the connectivity games - Zelda, Final (ugh...) Fantasy, Pac-Man - are awesome choices.

Do you mean the Japanese import of 3? I understand that all of the Japanese games are different than the US counterparts. So are you saying 3 is the best of the Japanese games, or that the Japanese 3 is better than the US 1 & 2?

Has anyone tried the Wii trick to load Donkey Konga 3? Does it let you save?

Has anyone tried the Wii trick to load Donkey Konga 3? Does it let you save?once i get my wii back i'll give it a shot, but it seems like way too much work to get my imports working on the wii when i have a gc w/ action replay

Thanks for trying it for me. I don't have a GC Action Replay, and am curious if I can play Donkey Konga 3 or not. :)

Thanks for trying it for me. I don't have a GC Action Replay, and am curious if I can play Donkey Konga 3 or not. :)i'd expect action replays for the gc to be cheaper these days and it also lets you unlock the special japanese trophies in SSBM, but i'll find out as soon as i can
