I'm thinking of getting Lego Star Wars because I have wavebird controllers and could play through my Wii with my wife. Is there any reason that I shouldn't get the GC version? Also was this a straight to Players Choice release? I swear I've never seen the original.

Mine is non-PC, so no, it wasn't straight to PC. I don't know of any noticeable differences between the versions, so I would go with whichever controller you like better. In this case, that sounds like the wavebird, so the GC version is the way to go. Just keep in mind that you will want the same version of LSW2 should you get it also...
Not Player's choice originally, and since you're asking this in the Gamecube forum, here's the answer you should expect: get the Gamecube version, of course.

Well I figured most people already played it on the PS2 so I need to get the input of the few who played it on the GC.
Anyone have a original copy they want to trade for Harvest Moon?

The GC version is fine. Haven't played the PS2 version.

I'm reasonably certain nothing was lost in the porting, and the game just feels right on the 'cube. I say it's a buy.

It didn't go straight to Player's Choice. It was released at $29.99 MSRP about six months after it came out for the other two consoles. I've only played the GC version, but have a friend who has both the PS2 and GC version and he felt that the graphics were just a little bit better on the Cube version.
Just to be clear: I have the Gamecube version and love it. Can't wait for Original Trilogy to have a price drop.
