So I was at the Sony E3 party two years ago and a (female) friend of mine runs up to me and says, "OMFG the Penny Arcade guys are gonna be here! Isn't that so fucking cool?!" Now, I'm not hating on the guys. They can be pretty funny. But jesus can you swing from the hairy coconuts just a little more? It's not like they are the Olsen Twins, Paris Hilton, or (enter your own celebrity icon here)! I haven't been so disgusted at such fan-boyish (well fan-girlish) behavior in my life.

To me, people who get so flustered over famous people are dumb. My dad has met so many famous people over the years it is insane and all he ever did was construction and haul cars. He is building the basement for Roy Williams house in Chapel Hill and he did not even know who the guy was

I do not know if you are being sarcastic or not, but he is the coach of the men's basketball team at UNC-Chapel Hill. He used to coach for the Kansas Jayhawks and is one of the top coaches in the country

Another game industry buddy of mine met Carmen Elektra. You'd think he'd be all over her but in his drunken stupor, called her a Stuckup Bitch just after she said hello. Nice huh.

while that was one of the cooler ones, the absolute coolest one would probably be the white ferrari from Miami Vice. May dad hauled it back to Florida after it was in NYC for the 20th anniversery.

meeting Kurt Angle would be awesome. MY friend hates playing wrestling games with me, because its Kurt 24/7 (unless Scott Hall is in the game)

Heh, when I read Roy Williams I first thought you meant Lions draft pick and future all star receiver Roy Williams.

I can top that... I was on a plane from Detroit to Milwaukee and who was sitting next to me, why none other than Kurt Angle himself. Along with the Undertaker, Kane, Stone Cold, Debra (before Austin started beating her), Farooq, Matt & Jeff Hardy, William Regal and a few others.

Eh, just fell into the hands of DFat's desprate ploy for attention. Anyway, my ex helps run a new promotion down in So. Fla and both Norman Smiley, Mideon, and Danny Doring work shows. They're really nice guys too.

It might not be the same, but I live in Green Bay and it's pretty common to see big football stars anywhere in town. I once watched Antonio Freeman down two huge subs in the mall once.

I met one of the Conquistators. Yeah, celebrities rarely make it to Bryan, OH. Although, I heard once that Harrison Ford refueled his plane at our airport.

I would say it is because these people are adored by millions of fans and you are lucky enough to meet them. My friends dad also urinated next to Adam Corolla (Man show) at an airport bathroom. Just thought i would throw that out (he obviously didn't introduce himself, you just don't do that after taking a piss)

When I worked at BestBuy Kobe Bryant used to stop by with wife (then Fiance), all the girls would go crazy, Im not a B-Ball fan, so I could care less...

Ive also met the lead singer from the Offspring (he was shopping at BestBuy) and LinkinPark, they were performing at my BestBuy store, Im fans of both of them and I didnt freak out, I did get a chance to talk to all of them and it was cool, they are really nice "normal" people.
