which system is better in addition to ps2, x-box or gamecube? Don't start bashing GC right away though please because it might have a greater variety og games different to the ps2.

Well, seems as this isn't gamefaqs, not too many people around here bash systems. I'd say if you have a PS2, a GC is a nice addition if you can only get one more system. A lot of nice exclusives and a lot of good games coming out this year for it. Plus it's cheap.

Gamecube, as it has the almighty Nintendo exclusives.

And this will so become a flame war.

maybe. Yeah, you are right, it will. GC is nice for the price.

I have all three, and love them all for different reasons. If you dig Zelda, Metroid, Mario, and other Nintendo exclusives, go GC (it is also cheaper!).

But if you dig FPS, Star Wars, and Online play, definitely go XB.

/my 2 cents

It really depends on what you want and what you play.

Xbox live is a killer app. But if you aren't going to play online, it takes away a huge selling point for the Xbox.

Gamecube is the ONLY place you are going to get Nintendo games. This is a huge point.

Of course, I have all three, and still feel the need to have them all. Of course, my wants and biases differ from some... I bought the cube first, then a PS2, and then the Xbox.

I love my xbox, but I also have 2 cubes and no ps2. Either one is a great addition.

Are you sure? PS2 has free online, but not a centralized service. Xbox has a centralized service,
but along with that comes a fee for service.

It all depends what you are looking for, and the imporatance of certain facets of the gameplay experience.

I'm not being rude, but you should seriously think about moving this to Gamefaqs or closing it. There aren't as many fanboy's here, but there is enough to get a war started.

Both are great systems. I find myself playing Xbox a lot more then I do Gamecube, but if I could only have one I would want an Xbox. I love the first and second party Nintendo games, but good releases are somewhat few and far between, and it has limited third party support. I also dislike the controller.
The Xbox has a few good first party games, with more on the way. Its getting lots of third party exclusives, and mulitplatform games are often best on the system. I love not having to buy memory cards because of the hard drive, and the controller is great.

I have found my Gamecube to be very enjoyable. Both are great, but I have probably double the number of games for my cube than I do for my Xbox. I also have not found Xbox Live to be particularly compelling - then again, the only game I've played with it was Mechassault, which I found to be less than stellar. That might change with Halo 2.

I've owned both a cube and I still own an xbox in addition to my ps2, both are good system but honestly after awhile I started to notice my cube had a nice layer of dust on it, which is why i sold it. The games just weren't there for it, same old franchises that I got tired of ages ago.

I have the Cube and the PS2, and I'd have to say the GC on a game conntent basis. If you're lookin for online games and such, go w/ the XBox. If you're looking for (more) RPG's, Square, and sports, PS2 is the system. Nintendo however has my heart, as it has those unforgettable 1st and 2nd party games. Usually the 3rd party games that come out for GC also look better and have better load times than the PS2.

I haven't really played my cube or xbox in a while.

I get the most time out of my gba beleive it or not.

But I own 5 times as many ps2 games than xbox or GCN.

I have all 3 and all 3 have their great points, but truth be told, I play Gamecube a TON more than XBOX. In fact, since my XBOX DVD remote started screwing up, I barely touch that giant thing anymore. (Oh and I DO have LIVE along with several online games like Crimson Skies and PGR2, but I just don't think playing online is THAT great). Apart from the great games, the thing that ALWAYS convinces me to pop in a gamecube game is the wireless wavebird controller. With the other systems I have to drag a chair right up by the TV but with my wavebird I can go crash in my recliner (or anywhere else for that matter). Also, Gamecube has some of the best multiplayer games ever. Wario Ware, Bomberman, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Pac Man VS? Pop in any of those with a few friends around and you'll have a great time.

Don't get me wrong, XBOX has its fair share of amazing games too, but nothing compares to Nintendo's exclusives IMO. Well that's my rant, hope I could help sway your decision.

If you like what you have already and want more, then get Xbox - more action games, more online play, etc. If you're looking for variety, go with GC. Nintendo also has a bunch of awesome exclusive titles (i.e. Pikmin, Smash Bros., Wind Waker), many of which are already budget titles, to start your GC game collection. If I were you, I'd go with the GC. I own both a PS2 and a GC, and I couldn't be happier gaming-wise.

Some of you dont' undestand, I already have a PS2 i need to know which of GC and X-Box will provide me with a greater variety of games, as of now I'm starting to lead towards GC

I'd have to say Xbox, just because of the multi-player gaming especially Halo with my buddies. I'm a big FPS fan so there's no question.

Greater variety of games? I think Xbox has more average titles. But GC has more exclusives and focus on quality over quantity.
