Today I went to Wal-Mart and bought 2 Clint EastWood movies.

On the DVD box it says that the package design is from 2006.
I opened one and it has the film tht was released in 1998. Also, I opened the other one, and since its a 2 sided disc, one side widescreen the other Fullscreen I noticed that there was a finger print on the disk. Could I have bought a returned copy? I also noticed that the security seal from the side was missing. I just realized this as I opened them. I could tell there was a side seal beacuase there was a peace still there. Can I return the movie back even if I already completly opened it?

I would just bring it back and explain it to them. Just tell the truth and don't give them any bullshit.

It could have been returned, or it could have just not been fully sealed. It's likely that you can only return it for the same item if it's opened. Is it scratched, or just a fingerprint? If it's not scratched I probably wouldn't worry about it.

What about this one.

Is this normal. This is the same disk that was released in 1998. They just put it into this new box.

I think a site like DVDtalk (http://www.dvdtalk.com) would be a better place to ask those questions.

They're definitely the old discs, since I have them, but that packaging is new. MGM does it all the time with a lot of movies.

Is there a problem with the movies, do they not play or something?

Seriously. If the discs work, it's going to be way better for you to just swallow the possibility that you bought used discs--you probably paid less-than-used prices, anyway. Not that I condone just brushing things like this off, but who really wants to deal with Wal Mart any more than is absolutely necessary?

Its walmart you can shit on the return counter and get money back.

Just be nice, ask for an exchange and see if the other ones are the same way.

walmart will take just about anything back. Tell them the truth and you'll atleast get a full refund.

I think the 2006 date is for the packaging as those old MGM discs have been around for forever. I have been waiting for them to update some of their stuff for a long time, but MGM likes to take their dear sweets in commissioning new transfers.

I bought House Of 1000 Corpses from there 9$ bin and it had no DVD art, which was wierd, but I guess they censored that movies artwork at once.
