Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread on this. I'm 50/50 on if I want to pick this up. I never played any of the games, but seeing this has wifi and portable (portability plays a huge part in my gaming) I have good interest.

Seems I'm the only one that gives a shit about this game...

I've never played any of the Custom Robo games either, but it looks kind of like Power Stone in a way.

I'm assuming it's this:

A Pokemon RPG (boy runs around, duels with his pets/robots against other kids) with Virtual On action (arenas with obsticals and mechs) with a dash of armored core type of customization.

I'm probably wrong, but from what I've seen from the older games, this seems to be it.

I never got around to playing the GC game, but it always had me interested. I might pick this up, but i gotta read a review or two. Maybe. I'll probably just go out on a limb and buy it. And I'm in agreement with you Rolento that this game might have more appeal due to it's portability.

That's pretty accurate based upon the GC version. Each robot tends to have 3 different types of attacks, then there's dashing and jumping and whatnot. Some of the arenas in the GC version were cool, like a soup bowl and a child's toy room (complete with a train). The single player was nothing too exciting, but it was pretty fun against people. Unlocking everything through battles was mildly addicting, but it was an above-average game at best. Hopefully this one will be more polished.
