I don't know if this was the right place to ask this, but I was wondering if I needed to use a converter to play my Q Gamecube in the US. Thanx for any help.

For power? Nope.

Thanx. Really wanted to know that the diff in voltage wouldn't mess up my system.

Japan and the US share the same standards for consumer electronics.

Actually, the Q says it uses a 100V input, and the US standard is 110V... the 10% difference SHOULDN'T make a huge difference but you may want to buy a converter just to be safe, since the extra voltage probably wouldn't be good, especially if you get a surge and go way out of bounds. (If the Q is designed for 100V, it probably handles 95-110 OK. But if your US standard, which averages 110 but may surge to like 120, it may kill the Q). Shouldn't cost too much above what a Q alone must cost now!!
It's being overly paranoid, but also protecting your investment.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Any good places online that you know to get a converter that I need?

Thats good advice. And I agree with protecting your investment, as those Q's dont exactly grow on trees.
But just so you know. I know 2 people with the Q, and they have em just plugged right into the wall for years and never had a problem.

What do they cost now? I see them on eBay in excess of $300. Anywhere else to get them?

Make it 3 as that is exactly what I've done.
