Screw EBGames (again)

Pre ordered C&C3 Kane edition. There's supposed to be a pre order box + exclusives, got nothing when I preordered. Check back in 1-2 weeks. I was away on a trip but I call again and still nothing. What's the point of an exclusive driving business to your store when you can't provide them and will probably end up getting the game delayed.

I hope Best Buy and Target (which are both far better PC game retailers these days) eat their lunch entirely.

Do not go anywhere near GS or EB when you are looking for PC games. I thought this was common knowledge by now. Hugs!

They usually don't give away preorder bonuses till the game is release now. So you probably won't get it till than.

We don't typically get in these types of preorder bonuses till a week before the game comes out, max. Just keep calling, and dont get too frustrated.

uh I got my cnc3 pre-order box on the 28th of last month when I walked in and pre-ordered the kane edition. The eb employees were cool enough to call another store and have them hold a pre-order box for me :) 15 minutes later the pre-order box was in my hands. Although I really HATE GS/EB and there pre-order tactics, CNC3 will be big seller and almost hard to get a copy after the first day. I made this mistake with SW:EAW and was forced to drive 45 mins to another town just to get a copy of EAW about a week later. Anyways the pre-order box is ok. Most of the stuff you can see on You tube anyways. :P

It's too bad we won't see a CNC3 soundtrack cd just like CNC2 and RA2 came with when you bought the collectors edition. Bet you it's gonna be on Itunes :(

I think it does personally, because it is discussion surrounding C&C3. Any mods can more than correct any of us.

I did say typically. I know my store hasn't had these things at all. I do agree on our pre-order tactics though, it sucks balls. It's at the point where we only get 1-3 copies of a new game above preorders... =\ fucking stupid.

Best Buy had the pre order boxes ready to go actually, at two of my EB's the PC section is in shambles. You'd think all the games were used, the boxes have been bashed around and everything looks damaged and dog eared. They keep their console used games in better condition. You don't see this at BB or Target.

EB Games was crap and then GS bought them and they got even worse (which I had previously thought to be impossible). I speak from experience - I put up with crappy upper management for 2 years. Basically what you have is a bunch of Special Ed screwups in suits that think they know what it takes to run a videogame store telling a bunch of equally retarded store managers what to do. One time a District Manager yelled at me for a typo on the COMPANY-SUPPLIED SIGNAGE. Whatever.

Of course all hell breaks loose when something goes wrong and the customr gets [rightfully] pissed at the shoddy 'business' tactics or - god forbid - actually thinks for his or herself and realizes that the whole place is a sham. They violently rape small children and adults alike on videogame trade-ins and on Preplayed merch - they hit you on both fronts. If you like your sanity, you'd better pick up the EDGE card because you know they won't stop asking you until you tatoo your bar code conveniently on your forehead. Oh yeah, and even though we want you to come back and trade your game in tomorrow morning, you should still protect it for a year in case it somehow gets scratched on the way home.

So yeah, back to the topic at hand. Your store probably already received its shipment of pre-order bonuses. Their current location is more than likely in the back seat of each employee's car where they'll remain forgotten for the next couple months. Pilfering free goodies becomes a way of life when your own sanity and morals are slowly stripped away by the EBGames Gestapo.

Please, call Corporate Customer Service and complain.

I got mine at GS when I pre-ordered this way back on Jan 2nd. Perhaps the store you are trying to pre-order at already gave out all the ones they had received.
