I have had my white DS Lite for about 9 months, along the edges of the unit (not the screen) are specs of dust, underneath the shell. Is there any way to get rid of these?

Comprssed air? Try a PC keyboard cleaner...

Only way is to open it up. Compressed air will only push the particles in to the DS.

What's the best way to open it up? I'm afraid of cracking the shell.

you can jam an exacto knife in there as long as you're careful not to scratch anything on the way down.

Get a screwdriver to take the shell off. How about posting a picture of what you mean to give a clearer picture of what it is you are talking about.

i just slide a piece of paper between the clear shell and the white plastic and i can get it out. no need for disassembly
