Lol, no.
Why trade something you don't use for something you won't use? If anything, you could just sell it.

I dont see why not.
PS3: $600
Wii+Zelda+$115: $415
Savings: approx. $185
Use that extra money to buy yourself Tekken and flOw from the playstation store and perhaps another game and an extra controller.
If you like Unlocking stuff with money, get Tekken. Otherwise, it's a Great multimedia center. You can't really go wrong with this.

I would. My wii is currently collecting dust, but my PS3 gets tons of use whether it be from PS3 games, PS2 games, DVDs, or Blu-ray movies.

I'd do that. You end up getting a good deal on the PS3 and the system actually has a lineup... which is more than the Wii has for the majority of this year.

I'd be getting the PS3 and $115.
I'd be giving the Wii, Zelda TP, and Wii Sports.

Yea... just put that $115 right back towards a Wii when they are plentiful, and you are taking this guy for a ride.
Wii + Zelda: $300
PS3: $600 + ANOTHER $115???
Holy shit.

I'd do it. Hell I bought a 20 gig PS3 from a friend for $400. So you already beat my deal.
heck just spend that $110 on some PS2 games and it could last you a long time

Disregarding backwards compatability for a moment, neither machine is worth purchasing right now. Having said that, you'd be totally batshit insane not to take this deal (just as your friend is for offering it).

I'm just going to hold off on it. There has to be something wrong with it. I know I might be insane for doing it, but I'd rather get a new PS3 if I were to buy one and have a warranty on it.

You still have the one year warranty for it.

All things being equal, I'd get a 360 before a PS3. No doubt you're thinking of selling the Wii because of the game drought--but it's infinitely worse on the PS3 at the moment.
With that deal however, part of me says "Holy crap, go get that!" But, like you, the more rational part of me says, "What did he do to mess it up and void the warranty?"

Yes, most definitely.
I bought a PS3 almost 3 months ago and enjoy it big time. Having almost full BC with PS1/PS2 games is great, along with playing some cool PS3 games (downloadable and blu-ray). Also, the extra features it has makes it worth owning.
But after looking at the deal you'd get, definitely go for it.

I'd do it. My Wii doesn't get much play right now and the price difference is huge. Getting a PS3 + $115 for a Wii and Zelda is a great deal for you. Even if you think there is a problem with the system just trade it in and use the $115 to buy a new one. 60 GB PS3's trade in for $500 at Gamestop/EB Games.

If you don't have a 360 trade it for that. I have all three and i can say, the ps3 and Wii are never on. Motorstorm and Resistance only last so long and the blue-ray is nice but over-rated. Between Crackdown and Gears Of War I have no other gaming time right now. But definitely trade that Wii in either way. To say the least I'm disappointed with the it right now.

Er, I'd have to say no. The PS3 isn't offering much at this point, and many people are skeptical of its future library since it's harder and pricier to develop for. While the Wii has graphical limitations, the PS3's problems seems worse to me. I wouldn't sell your Wii now, if ever. If you really want a PS3, just wait until you feel that you're ready.

i don't want to cause a flame war so settle down for those who love to start that sort of thing lol. This is just a bit of fun a friend of mine showed me.
Anyway...I have a PS3 (from just about 3 months ago) and played through almost all of Ridge Racer, about 1/4 of the way through Resistance maybe (that I managed even though I'm not a very big FPS kind of person), and lately I can't get enough of MotorStorm online. I also downloaded the Hot Shots Golf 5 demo off the japanese Playstation Store and that is getting a decent amount of playtime too. I don't have a Wii or 360, so I can't really weigh in on the other consoles, but since MotorStorm I'm having a good time with my high class ass from the land of the rising sun lol.

The quality of either machine is irrelevant. Even if you plan on dumping the PS3 and picking up a Wii again, the level of profit involved makes this a no-brainer.

Those rich people always seem to get their hands on PS#'s before I do.
