What is the best way to sell them and what payment method would you suggest I use for when I sell an account. I do not want to get scammed but I would also like to get my money for my account. Anyone have a good site and what payment method to use? I am worried because paypal can do chargebacks and stuff.

locally is the best way via craigslist.org i put mine on ebay 2 years ago, they removed it within a few days

Isn't this less than legal? Or at least highly frowned upon..

Craigslist. It's not illegal but it violates the ToS for most MMORPG's which can put your account at risk for getting banned.

it's not against the law, there's no law written to prevent you from selling it, lol. It's just against the TOS of practically every MMO.

But if you have no interest in playing the MMO anymore, then getting banned isn't really a problem for you.

Just don't mention the account name in the auction and there's no way they could ban you. Wait to get the money and then send the name/password.
I sold a WoW account on ebay a year ago but they took it down after 5 days. A few people contacted me with offers before the auction closed and I got a reasonable amount for it (payed for all the monthly fees at least).
