In Jetpac Refuelled players must clear a path through hordes of aliens to refuel their ship and amass a fortune over the course of 128 hi-definition levels, complete with achievements, leaderboards and simultaneous multiplayer action. Compared to the original Jetpac, which included 16 levels, Jetpac Refuelled provides players with everything they loved in the classic, and much more.

Jetpac Refuelled can be played alone, or against another player on the same console or over Xbox LIVE. The game will be available worldwide for 400 Microsoft Points and is rated “E” for Everyone.

No. Konami updated their Live Arcade portion of their site with a release date of "March 2007" for Gyruss. Everyone assumed that since there was only one Wednesday left in March that Gyruss would be the last release. Everyone then ran with it (myself included. I don't despite Gyruss unlike 90% of the blogs out there). Microsoft would later issue the Jetpac press release.

Edit: Interestingly, Konami has since removed it and Rush N' Attack's release dates from the site.

I'm going to assume you meant "despise", in which case I agree. I really enjoyed this game, although I'm not looking forward to controlling my ship with the analog stick.

Besides, I've always said, one 'coin-op classic' a month (or multiple titles on one Wednesday a month) is a nice pace, a smart way to 'mix it up' and buy some of the more ambitious titles a little more time. Blogs get off (and get hits*) on bitching, and the glut of early-'80s stuff thusfar only squared their bitterness.

I played through about twelve levels and had fun with it. If you liked the original then you'll dig this one. Graphics are nice and the gameplay is fun and simple. Earned about four Achievements on my first play through, but it looks like the other ones are going to take some work. I haven't had a chance to check out co-op out yet so I can't say how well it plays. If you like the demo you'll like the full game.

About every five levels or so you have to build your ship. These are the levels you can choose to restart from.

It was sweet seeing the old Ultimate:Play the Game logo, now I'm hoping for an updated Staff of Karnath or Entombed.

I'm enjoying this game immensely. Fast paced, nearly impossible, and you can play it in quick chunks. On-line versus is a hoot. Totally worth the price.

The Rare team just sent over word that they've sent out an update to Jetpac Refuelled. Here's the deal. While playing in single player mode, there's a stage that awards you with a free dashboard theme. Some of you pointed out that the theme wasn't downloading correctly. The issue has now been rectified and an update posted to Xbox Live.

There is a glitch that you should know about. In order for the update to install correctly you must delete the existing game (package) from your console and follow the instructions below. Don't delete your game save.

Please note: Deleting and then re-downloading the package will NOT affect your saved game or Leaderboard status, or cost you any additional Microsoft Points. In addition, you WILL NOT be charged for this download.

Instructions:

Navigate to the 'System' blade in the 360 dashboard
Select the 'Memory' menu option
Select the storage device on which 'Jetpac Refuelled' is saved
Select the 'Games' menu option
Navigate to the 'Jetpac' entry in the menu and select it
When you select the 'Jetpac' entry, highlight 'Jetpac Xbox Live Arcade Game'
Select and confirm the 'Delete' option
FINAL STEP: Re-download from the Arcade downloads section of the dashboard to obtain the updated game package

You get two pics and a theme when you're about halfway through the game. I'm only at level 25 so I have no idea what the theme looks like. I wish more if not all games unlocked a special theme or pic after meeting certain requirements.
