Well Gamestop has it listed for a November release for the Wii (October for the PS3 & 360). I'm in for the Wii version, assuming it has some super fun wii-mote controls. Hopefully it'll be cheaper than the PS3 or 360 version too.

Supposedly $39.99 for PS3/360, $29.99 for Wii.

I thought the Katamari guy thought the Wii was a gimmic ;-)

I thought the Katamari guy thought the Wii was a gimmic ;-)
I think the general consensus is that the guy isn't making games anymore, but Namco understands the popularity of the franchise, so they are moving ahead without him.
Which may or may not be good.
Remember, before We <3 Katamari came out, Namco approached the guy and asked him for a sequel. He declined, so they said they'd move on ahead without him and make, essentially, Katamari Damacy: Christmas Edition.
This forced him to come out and work on WHK, since he didn't want his creation to become a whored out franchise.
So I imagine he isn't all that happy at the moment, and given that we don't know how Namco can really handle it without him, there's a chance it might feel kinda shallow.
But I absolutely love the series so I'll take what I can get.

My god.
I almost had an attack when I read the title.
Katamari returns! YES! I would have sold all my teeth just to have another Katamari release. :applause::applause::applause::applause::applause: :applause::applause:

Indeed. And a bit surprising with Cooking Mama being 50 fucking dollars!
Glad to see at least one publisher realizing certain games will make them more money at budget prices as more people will buy then.

Yeah, it being $30 is definitely nice... and it would be interesting to see how the Wii handles it.

I can't wait. Hopefully they will include ports of the PS2 games as unlockables on the game disk, I would like to have them all on one system.

It'll most likely have the same controls as the cow racing game in wii play.

I'd look forward to playing this with the Sixaxis as I don't see Katamari working well with the Wii Remote. Good news either way.

I was about to get excited about playing this with the Wiimote, but I had totally forgotten how well Flow works with the SIXAXIS.
Sorry Wii version.
Not to mention possible better graphics, and possible downloadable content.

It being $29.99 makes me think this is going to be nothing more than port of the last game. Hopefully that isn't true, but I don't see why they wouldn't charge full price for it.

Could it be $29.99 because it be a port of the PS2 game or do you think gamers would not even touch this game with mario and metroid most likely be around this holiday season if it was full price. I mean cooking mama is out when there is nothing out but in November, good move as long as it isn't a port.
Good thing on the pricing, as I can see myself with both the Wii and 360 versions, even if they are the same game ;). (Hopefully they are different enough to warrant getting both anyway).

I hope the controls work well, else I'd have to stick with the 360 version.

Speaking of Gamestop. They just pushed the release of "Wish Room" for DS from March the way until September.
Maybe someone should tell them that Wish Room is just the Japanese name for Hotel Dusk #-o

If this is an all new game and it is indeed $30, I'll buy it on the day it comes out.
I am curious to see what it looks like on the PS3 and the 360. When I heard it announced for the 360, I thought it was time to consider buying a 360.
This is going to be an interesting generation.
