Call of Duty 2 - Anyone else new to the game?

With the recent drop to $13.99 of CoD2 at CC, I figured a lot of CAGs have just picked this one up. I'm hoping to get into the online, but everyone on there has been playing forever it seems. Any CAGs want to play hit me up GT: PetriesLastWord , and that would rock.

Ya I have been playing it on Veteran through the single player. I haven't played online too much, everytime I do I get pwned.

I played online for the first time the other day (just got the game a little while ago) and my team must of sucked hard or something because I was first on my team by like 8 points. And wasnt too far from first on the other team either. My biggest streat was I think 3 or 4 kills. I'll hit you up though.

I got COD2 bundled with my 360 in an after Christmas sale. I didn’t really get into it until I decided to knock out the achievements for the old spice challenge. I found the veteran campaign to be very fun/challenging.

Is there like any different maps or anything different to this than the PC version? By the way you guys talk about scores "8 points up" or "3 or 4 KS" on PC it's usually like "40 points up" and "10 or 15 KS"

This is my first time playing the game as well thanks to CC. I keep getting owned on the first level though (the part where like 30 enemy soldiers bum rush you and you have to snipe them). I'll probably hit up XBL once my skills grow a bit.

I'm stuck here as well, I read IGN's walkthrough and that didn't help either. Everytime I play online I can never get any kills in seeing as everyone snipes.

Very true that's why I don't play 2 online anymore and only play 3 online. With 3's 24 player limit there are far fewer snipers. 2 online is just no fun for me, since I don't like sniping.

Haha I got stuck here too, I love it that your buddies don't shoot at the bad guys as the bad dudes come in from the back door and shoot you in the back while you're trying to snipe.

I don't play online because I have satellite and my ping is 999 lol. It just sucks to have a 360 and really bad ping, I can barely play worms but I can and I love that game online! Still playin the campaign, havent played in a while though as I'm playing all my other 360 games atm lol. lol I just got an email saying that my SCDA has been shipped, so I don't think I'll be playin COD2 anytime soon.

Don't play on veteran first. Play on a difficulty that you have to struggle to survive, but you don't have to restart sections constantly on.

The emotional effect of that game was amazing for me. Goosebumps at points.

That one part where the russians storm the german holdout before blowing up the building... goosebumps all over.

I just went back to it today hoping to finish up the missions I haven't already done on Veteran. Now I remember why I stopped in the first place; at times it's just painfully difficult.

Still always fun though.

I just finally decided to play thie game this past week. I beat it on my PC, but never played it online. I will be up for some online play next weekend, that is if I don't get GHII from RedOctane.

Fantastic game! I play on a clan now on 3, but I still hit up 2. Both have different mechanics when you get down to playing online. Love this one for the single player, but I can't get passed D-Day on the Americans. Anybody have any tips. The American missions on Veteran are 100 times harder than both the Russian and Brit missions combined.

Just now, I finished the game on Veteran. It was hard as hell but rewarding at the same time. I have yet to play it online. So, hit me up if anyone feels like playing (LiquidSnake04).

COD2 is fun online! I played from 10pm to 2am last nite for the first time! seems like there are a lot of other noobs too....so i was able to play decent.
