Dead Rising and Lost Planet will Remain X360 Exclusives

“Westell”: What I am wondering, is since Capcom has claimed “Capcom is committed to making its titles available to as wide an audience as possible,” does that mean Capcom will be making games that were exclusive to the Xbox 360 cross platform as they did with Devil May Cry or is that quote from Capcom more of just a PR man doing their job? Christian Svensson (Capcom’s senior director of strategic planning and research): A fair question.
The answer is Dead Rising and Lost Planet are not slated to appear on Wii or PS3 as far as current plans go. The reasons for this are quite convoluted and I’m bound by NDAs on these matters so I can’t divulge why this is the situation.
The quote delivered above references our strategy moving forward, not something that is necessarily retroactive. You can see evidence of this with our previously stated RE5 plans going to 360 and PS3 simultaneously.

This ofcourse means that the sequels may potentially end up being multiplatform but atleast for now, Dead Rising (1) and Lost Planet (1) are exclusive to our favorite console.

It was on the rumor mole section of EGM. Nothing official has been announced.

The franchises aren't exclusive so the sequels will be on the ps3.

Dead Rising the PS3 can have all they want as it has been out for a good while. I'm hoping for the co-op patch that was rumored awhile back.

Lost Planet also sold extremely well on the 360, already over 650k copies in the US alone so I'm sure Capcom is happy with their current projects for the 360.

Honestly I don't care if a game goes multiplatform as long as we have it. We still have "the exclusive" awesome Live portions, extra features, and of course achivement.

What bothers me is MS stamping "Only on XBox360" with that little logo on games like Enchanted arms, and perhaps LP and Dead Rising, if they truely do go multiplatform.

It was $35 after GGC at Best Buy back about 6 months.

It was on sale at Gamer Rush for 29.98 as well. But I'm sure every copy has been sold by now.

But anyways, I expect Dead Rising might get a sequel soon, which would make to effort of porting worth even less to Capcom.
