here it is: mario or sonic? which one is better? base this on characters alone....
and also: I AM THE ORIGINAL GRUDGE MATCH MAKER! ALL HAIL STEALTHY SEAL!!!!!
If it's for characters and not games, then Sonic. But PAper MArio version of Mario owns all.

Shit! I voted before I remembered about Paper Mario! Arg, that would've tied them IMO. But, growing up a SEGA child, I voted for Sonic.

Sonic... I enjoyed his games more back in the day than any Mario offering. But then again all the recent Sonic titles suck arse...

Yes, I don't think translates well in 3D... Well at least how the developers made the jump from 2D-3D is definately not as smooth as the Mario series. Sadly though, even the GBA Sonics are not nearly as good as the Genny ones.

mario sunshine made me addicted for weeks, thanks to mario i forget to cut my hair, brush my teeth ect, so to show my gratitude of my GF bagging on me, i choose mario.
and finding secrect in the nes mario (like stepping on the turtles to get 99 lives. and getting the flute in the first world in mario 3... how cool is that?) all i remember from sonic is "oo look u can walk through here, its a secrect, another 50 rings.... or ooo secret.. look i got another shield..."

I voted Mario cuz I only just recently got sonic mega collection... and am frustrated as hell at it... XD and paper mario DOES pwn all ex0 ;)

Hmmm, thats kinda a tough one.
I'd vote Anthony, because Sean's thick accent would get in the way.

I never got into Mario brothers or Sonic the Hedgehog. But since I am a fan of the original Donkey Kong arcade game, I'll have to give a slight nod to Mario.
