Anyone pick this up? I saw in the Far Cry Open Season $20 at Gamestop thread that somebody said it was the best FPS on the Wii so far. Any other opinions on it?
Edit: Now when I go back and read the post, maybe it was saying it is worse than Far Cry. Anyways, opinions on it?

Well since no one replied to you I figured I would.

It's not fairing too well right now on gamerankings with a 51% average, but that is still higher then Farcrys 37.5% which still rates as the Wii's worst FPS game. Even though I'm considering buying it lol.
Anyways, reads like a generic WW2 FPS with so-so Wii controls. I think you should hold off till it drops to $20 or less like FarCry, or just not buy it at all.

Sucks that there's so little to choose from, huh?

Yeah, but the reviews to me for Wii games so far have been really off the wall. Some of the games that have gotten really low scores (Red Steel, Call of Duty 3, Tiger Woods) I have really liked. Haven't played Far Cry yet, so I can't comment on it. For $20 though I think I'll have to pick it up.

i can agree that sites reviewing wii games are being harder than normal on a game. they always key the graphics and drop the score for that and always key the controls. it's early yet and the controls haven't been perfectly figured out for games...or they just didn't give it enough time to get used to it. This medal of honor looks to be a lot of fun, especially with the multiplayer. i think i'll rent it first though just in case.

I liked CoD3, the controls were great. IGN said that MoH was a better looking game than CoD3, but that the controls weren't as good (but still not too bad). I'll pick it up for $30 or so.

Call of Duty 3 seems to be the best bet so far. I've got faith in Brothers in Arms: Double Time though as Gearbox knows what they are doing the majority of the time.

I rented this from Gameznflix and thought it was total crap the first time I played it. A few weeks later a friend came over and tried and it was impressed. So, I tried it again and gave it a chance and it's been pretty good. The controls are great and its a fun WWII fps for fans of that genre.
I'm on the last mission now. I don't know if I would buy it cause it is short. I would recommend MOH for a nice rental. Just give it a chance to get used to the controls and don't expect mind blowing graphics.

I keep updating this thread that no one cares about, but I finally beat this game. The last mission was fun but very hard. Thanks EA for not giving more checkpoints on that extremely hard level. Anyone else beat it? I played on normal and can't imagine beating it on the hard setting. This is a good game for CAG when it drops to $20.

Yeah I rented this during the weekend and found the game itself to be subpar. I don't know why people complain about the controls, this is one of the few games I have seen that give you a vast amount of option on how to tweak the controls. Overall I think it is worth a rental, but because of the bad level design (the sniper section in the varsity campaign was hell because of the lack of a checkpoint) it comes off as a bad entry in the MOH franchise.
Although to be fair I have found the last three MOH games to be generally poor. MOH just doesn't stand up to COD. They need to spend more time thinking about design. As a last point I would also like to see more Wii work graphical, the game afterall was a port of the PS2 version no matter how you look at it.

Had a run at the multiplayer over a friend's house. I was less than impressed.
This game is pretty crappy. I rented it, too, and I thought the controls felt "loose." Also, the controls weren't very responsive on the nuchuck attachment. It would take several flicks to get out of the "crawl" mode, then several more to stand. Then, those commands would get mixed up with reload and jump. Could have been a better game, definitely. This is also coming from a guy who feels "Red Steel" controlled reasonably well in comparison. It's a better game gameplay-wise, IMO.

I changed the options of controls on the nunchuck. It would always cause me to turn 180 degrees. So I turned off all that.
I started Call of Duty last night and like the visuals more than MOH. The controls and gameplay are taking some time to get used to after just playing MOH. But that happened from playing Red Steel to MOH, so it should just take 30 minutes to start kicking nazi ass.
