Has anyone played Space Channel 5 with a dancepad?

It seems like it would be a good fit. Anyone have any experience doing so? I imagine the "follow the leader" style of gameplay would work well. Please share any thought or opinions.

Thanks

If it works that would be pretty cool

Thanks Radjago -- I look forward to hearing how it works out.

I picked up a GameCube for the kids a few weeks back, but with Space Channel 5 $3 at CC, I picked up an extra copy, and I am wondering if I should at some point snag a used PS2 so my daughter can play some SC5 and ICO.

There's many great games on PS2 besides those two to keep you and your daughters entertained. Ico wasen't my thing but many people enjoyed it, and I've still yet to play my $2 copy of Space Channel 5 from over two years ago.

I've been deeply entrenched in the PS2 since the orig price drop to $199, with dozens of games -- I am even in a Killzone Clan.

Given the age of my kids, we chose not to introduce gaming consoles till they got out of Kindergarten. They found plenty to play at CartoonNetwork.com, PC casual gaming, Reader Rabbit, Living Books, and using Leapsters until we introduced a GameCube last month.

Gaming, "good gaming," requires some decent reading skills, even for the Harvest Moons of the world. Plus, my PS2 runs thru a VGA connector to my monitor, so it was always just one of Daddy's computers. And, (this is important) I never PS2 game while the kids or my wife are awake, so my kids were sort of clueless about Daddy's hobby.

We approach console gaming as a social activity with the family -- all games must support at least 2 players, preferably co-operative, though Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee is a family favorite. Also, I enjoy the overall quality and branding of Nintendo's games when it comes to intellectual properties that I want my kids to interact with. Gaming is a privilege, and is not done on more than one school night each week, though we log plenty of hours on the weekend. Misbehavior in the day means no gaming at night.

No no, you're doing it wrong. You're supposed to just hand them a TV, a PS2, some M rated titles and let it do the parenting for you.

Well, after they master DDR Mario Mix, I was thinking about introducing Manhunt on the PS2...
