Ok, so I finally picked this game after waiting for the complete collection to come out on one dvd for 40 bucks vs buying all that other stuff for more. Anyways holy shit it takes like 5 minutes to load a map, its giving me problems login on using my EA account (which I used with no problems on 2142 and CNC3). Question is , where are all the aircrafts and the booster packs? I know BF2 and SF are installed but where is the rest?!?!?!

I know this is of no help to you, but awesome that they came out with this, all on one DVD too.
Tough debating between this and 2142 for my online FPS fix.

I don't understand. The others are not installed, or you can't find them on your computer directory, or you can find them but can't find them when you actually run the game?

I thought the booster packs were just extra maps with new stuff on them?

compared to BF2, 2142 loads a hell of a lot faster and is easier to set up an account.

Oh yeah, you need to create a separate log in account for BF2. You don't have to link it to your EA account either. They started doing this with BF2142. Just make the login name be what you want your soldier's name to be (like how it was in 1942). Seems you got this all settled but that's why everything's different.
I don't have the Booster Packs but I've read taht you have to register them online (should be on the box or manual) before you can play those.

Is there a deal on BF2 colllection somewhere? It's on my list to eventually pick up when it gets cheap enough.

this belongs in the video game deal request thread.
but to be honest, your getting a deal for 40 bucks instead of paying like 60-70 for the main game , the expansions and booster packs. Even better to have all that one 1 DVD disc! Man thats a great deal in itself.

I believe it was just marked down to 30 at Target. Makes sense since 2142 is now going for 40.

Really?
The collection is still $40 everywhere else... seems a little weird Target would have a price drop before any other retailer.
According to Best Buy, Battlefield 2 Deluxe is $30, while the complete collection is $40.

I am wrong. It was the deluxe edition. I didn't even know that they had a complete collection.
And honestly the new maps are not worth it. They are pretty much all skippable. I have Euro Force and have not spent any time playing it. All you really need is the core BF game. No one plays anything else (SF is a lot of fun, but there aren't any servers).

But is like 5 minutes to load a damn map standard on BF2 with everyone???
my specs
P4-3ghz
2 gigs of ram
4 hard drives (1 sata)
evga gforce 6800gt 256 agp
You think with a load time like that, the graphics would be amazing..but BF2142 takes about a minute to load and more fun.
oh well, back to Tiberium Wars :|

The load times in 2142 are much better, but BF2 load times are not that bad. I have a much slower rig than you and at most the load times were like 75 seconds.
