So sad.. not even a year, and this game is done for. It's a lot of fun online, too. I wish it had the Xbox Live style support where it'll never go down..

Kinda sucks. I'm a huge MGS fan, but haven't really played online in months. I probably won't, but it's way too soon to cut the game off. I guess it really was a 'beta test' for MGO in the future.

So sad.. not even a year, and this game is done for. Indeed. MGO is a thing of beauty. The only consolation is that Portable Ops has online and can be tunneled whenever it goes offline.

Shit, I picked this up on launch day, and didn't play online for a second.

Yup, I got on last night for one final battle. It's a sad day.

At least I was able to experience it on the PS3 ... sniff...

lol, same here. It would be kick ass if Konami ported over the entire online portion to the live arcade. I'd gladly pay 1200 or more points for it.

I wasn't too fond of the MP, to be honest. My last memory was watching the game's crappy physics turn crouching on a staircase into the most defensible position in the whole world.

I thought the game was really enjoyable for it's sheer absurdity. Lots of running and gunning and fun situations. Not the most technically sound game, but nobody really played it as such.
Kind of like how Gears SHOULD be but all the 13 year olds take that game so seriously when it's such a random mess. I'd take MGO over Gears ANYDAY.

It was a game that took a good amount of skill and craftiness, something that made the game stand out. Stealthy tactics were usually rewarded too. Shame, it was the first online game I really got into.

It's a shame, I played it quite a bit online. Maybe it'll eventually get ported over to the Xbox 360 and the online multiplayer will continue to live on.
