did you complete a trade? You dont get any of the mentioned stuff until you send atleast one game.

When did Silent Hill 2 for PS2 become a 550 point game? It was only 100-200 points when I added it to my wantlist. It's worth maybe 300-400 points top in used condition based on half.com, Ebay, and Amazon.
I still think there should be something in place to let members know when a games on their wantlist jumps 300-400 points in price so they can delete it, because I feel ripped off paying 550 points for a game that's easy to find in the $15 range. I definitely would have deleted it off my list if I knew it had jumped in price.
Maybe the site should automatically put any game on your wantlist on hold if the point price increases?
yeah, I suggested a price cap a while back and Goozex took my suggestion and put it on the list of possible things to implement.

Is there anyway to stop getting matched up with someone? I'm next to get Crackdown and I've matched up with a seller (its going on the third time now) that times out. I'm assuming its the same seller I don't think that many people in the community would be that rude.
sometimes i let my games time out until the 3rd day before hitting confirm. this way i know for a fact that i can ship in the 3 day window
BUT if i know i cant ship within a weeks time i will just delete my game and deny the request

I left a guy negative today saying did not arrive because the trade was going to time out on sunday and we dont get mail on the weekends. I PM'd the guy and mentioned it in the feedback that if and when it got here as Im sure it just got delayed I would have the feedback changed to reflect it. So I left the negative and just got a message from the guy freaking out saying he is never shipping to Canada again. Why are some people so fucking stupid. I messaged him back explaining to him once againt that as soon as it gets here the feedback will be set straight, but to cover myself I had to close it before the system did.
Is what I did that unreasonable?

Not at all. Part of the goozex guarantee is that you get the game in a timely manner, so you're definitely right in putting the neg down. Since feedback is reversible anyway, once you do get the game, the Goozex guys can change the feedback appropriately.
I wouldn't worry about it.

I just don't like brining any more hate towards shipping to Canada. I'm always trying to encourage people to trade to Canada because being Canadian I know it's hard to get stuff off goozex up here. I have 3000+ points and am having trouble getting them. The mail has been slow lately Im assuming because of tax season here and in the states. I've had to neg on like three things now that hit the time out period but told all of the senders that I will rectify it when they get here. I hope I can change this guys mind.

Wow, I've been sitting on a few games for awhile now after starting off with a huge flurry of activity.
What is quite vexing is Atelier Iris 2 not matching up... seems others have it as wanting Complete, but no one is matching up to me, dang it.
AND seems some folks were able to get Ogre Tactics and Ogre Battle offered complete. REALLY dang it!

Hi Zombie_X: I just double checked the first two posts of this thread and the front page announcement here and you're right -- I somehow missed the details of the CAG-2007 coupon. I went ahead gave you the bonuses up front.

Goozex,
I tried to put BFMC 2 for xbox360 into my library. Unfortunately I hit the request side by accident. Of course I know noticed it when the system says I will be receiving the game. Please, Please cancel this transaction. I really don't want two copies of this game. (and certainly not for 700 points when the retail price is 30 bucks) - Please void this transaction.
thanks

good chance they wont cancell it if the seller already confirm shipping. your asking to get the game + your pts back . Just relist it when you get it and hope someone else request it.
matches really seemed to slow down as well. I posted about 3 or 4 games taht people wanted but they never matched yet (either they dont have the pts or credits or too many games out)
Love to get red of
contact, kingdom hearts 2 , avatar Ds, avatar psp, outrun 2006 psp and a few others before i take them to ebay

course it goes through...damn... pm the sender right away in hopes of cutting it short there...
the chances of relisting BFMC and getting it picked up again at 700 points has to be slim to none...the game retails for 30 bucks...
the sender is probally estatic to pick up 700 points...i hope he's cool and doesn't send it so I can work this out....
unloading two copies of BFMC is going to be tough....
here hoping....

I've been matched for Ogre Tactics complete 2 times and both times it was with scammers who never sent and were just listing high point games to get a few thousand free points. I did get a complete Ogre Battle sent to me though, as well as a complete DDR Disney Mix, and a complete (although it had writing on the disc) Intelligent Cube.

I traded Atelier Iris 2 once or twice on Goozex with little turnaround time. There are probably a few people ahead of you who have it as available or traders who want it complete but don't yet have the points available.
I think the two best games I got via Goozex must've been a cart + manual Kirby & The Amazing Mirror and a complete, mint Riviera: The Promised Land.

Hey whats up everyone, first off id like to say I apologize for the long post. Im new to goozex and have a lot of questions. Iv actually have been observing the forums for a while now and finally joined see how much interaction and also seeing that quetions are actually answered on this forum. I was using sayswap for a while but it really sucks so I stumbled upon goozex and signed up to see how it was. My username is jclee4, iv been using goozex for about 3 weeks now. I really like this system. When i first signed up I took time to make my list of games I have and games that I wanted. I only wanted a few games. Within hours 2 people had requested 2 of my games. I went ahead and followed the directions on how to ship them. I went to the post office since I was a little confused at first about the stamps. Off course I had to be the dude that held up the line cause I was asking mad questions about stamps and packaging. Anyway I have accumulated 900 points from those 2 trades and put 2 games I had on my requests list active. I have been waiting for some time now but no email indicating a game is being sent to me. I only want 2 games at this moment. Nba street homecourt and rainbow 6 vegas both for the 360. I see both these games in the available now list everyday *trust me I check* but nothing is happening. I heard that there used to be a que and im not sure where I am in this que but how long does this usually take. I feel like iv been waiting forever. I also have a bunch of games I now have made active in my library of games and again nobody is requesting. I even made my disc only or full package just to match what the user is requesting in the requested list if you get what I mean. Can someone also explain to me the (2 active requests at a time / 2 active offers at a time) thing. I have a bunch of games active in my library how can I tell which 2 are showing up. At first goozex was all fireworks but now its just crickets if you get my drift. Again I apologize for the long post. Thanks in advance guys I really appreciate it.

More than likely you are behind people who are requesting it too. I am requested Vegas for the 360 probably a month ago and I still havent gotten matched for it. It's a really popular game. Hope that helps a bit.

Hey Mark,
I can now see what place I am for requested and games I have available. I didnt even know that was placed. Great job on getting it back.
I noticed some games that are coming soon such as Mario Party 8 for the Wii already has requests, how is that possible when there is no button to add to request list?
What about transferring them excess points or selling them? Say for instance, my cousin has a game she wants but is 100-200 points shy and I want to give her the points she needs since I have 2450 points in my account and I know I wont be using them all. Would this be implemented?
Thanks,
Tim from DCEmu Reviews

There is no way of knowing. It just depends when someone is ready to trade away the game you want.
The other thing to keep in mind is just because you aren't number 1 doesn't mean you won't get the match. Back in the days before the que number went away, it wasn't uncommon to be 10-12 and get matched due to people not having points or credits or trade slots.

Hey everyone!
Yes, the queue is back up -- we figured a good technical solution and it became a priority based on the survey results we saw...the number 1 improvement asked for was getting the queue up in some form or another.
Remember that the queue is not linear -- meaning that you move through different lines at different rates based on what people before have as points, vacation mode, holds, etc...
magiic -- thanks for note...I will make the trade positive...
jclee4 -- welcome! let me help with your questions --
The two games you're requesting are popular titles and have a lower than usual supply. For example, there are currently 5 committed Rainbow Six: Vegas games on Goozex and a few more that are currently matched with other members.
The two active requests you have right now is to minimize the impact a would be scammer would have on the site. Basically, we limit new users from sending out games until they start to receive positive feedback. With each positive feedback a member gets, they then can send out more games. When they hit a feedback score 50 (or 5 positive trades) then they have maximimum number of slots open to them.
iazybandit -- prior to our content provider screwing up some game release dates, members we were able to "pre-order" games...to prevent a similar problem in the future we have move pre-released games to coming soon and for those you can't request. I think we will need to change that soon.
I think the transfer of points between buddies on Gooozex is a solid idea. Let me propose that to the team.

04-24-2007, 10:51 AM
I'm sure you guys know this already, but this que issue is a perfect example of why goozex rocks so much. They took this out for technical, and probably, business case reasons. But its back, because the users asked for it, and i'm sure it caused a lot of work for the team. I've seen this kind of support and response from the goozex team since I started trading last summer. There aren't many places I do business with that offer this kind of response to users. I applaud them for it.

Goozex
04-24-2007, 11:07 AM
Thanks erock for the kind words. Your support for us is what drives us each day -- not to be sappy, but Jon and myself were prior to Goozex hardcore gamers (hardly any time now to game)...The site is really designed for people who love gaming to get their hands on as many games as possible at basically no cost...that's paradise for us...
CAG members are our best members and that's why I'm here as often as I can be. Btw, have you digged your CAGcast lately?
We've got some more changes in the pipeline based on feedback and the survey and if things go according to plan...one that should surprise you (in a good way).

That 5 wouldnt do me no good considering there are no games other than Super Paper Mario that is queued (#39 in line) =(. But better than nothing. I sent yesterday so you should receive it either end of this week or sometime next week. Dont know how long it takes from NY to Canada.

@ Mark (Goozex)
What about the ability to update the shipping date once its been shipped? I know you have 1 or 3 days. I usually tend to put 3 days incase I'm running late for work and cant make it to PO but 99.9% of time, I ship out the next day of approving. Anyway to let us update the shipped date? Also, what about adding tracking # so receiver can track or view #? I know the sender can easily just PM the person the number but this would also help Goozex incase of a dispute.
Also how about extending the 1 day accept trade to 2 days? I know some if not alot of people arent on the computer everyday. Or maybe adding it as a preference/choice for each user?

okay, question about my position in the queue. For Star Ocean: Til the End of Time it says I'm at #11 in the queue to get it, yet i just got my points back from a cancelled match on it (the fifth cancelled match so far on that game). How in the world am I at #11 but getting matched for a 100pt game? I can't imagine the 10 in front of me don't even have 100pts...
I'm at #2 for Ar Tonelico but an average of like #20 for the rest. DOH!

04-25-2007, 12:57 AM
Well, that happens more often than you might think. A lot of people may put stuff on their request list but not have any points at all (and they may not really even be active members).
And just let me say that showing the position in the queue is so much more useful. As long as you have some kind of explanation on the site saying what exactly that means (that you may get matched even if you are low down on the queue, as long as you have points) I think it should be fine to show the numbers.

So when i get the game i'll just relist.

Its been around for years but for a good 2-4 years, it was subscriptions..I think. But it went back to free but with the option of subscriptions. So GameTZ makes their money from subscriptions and from loyal TZ gamers.

I love the queue system...It gives me more motivation to list more of my stuff and to request more as I now have a better idea as to where things are. Definitely makes everything more fun.
Anyhow, I think that I have an idea as to what the surprise will be. I'm thinking that with their exponential growth, that they may have secured some mondo funding...and with that, more free services.

Hey I have a quick question. When I request a game and put it on hold, do I still move up the queue or do people behind me skip in front?
On a side note this site is a brilliant idea guy, may many millions of dollars come your way. I've contributed a couple bucks towards that so far!

Have you Goozex guys banned people that have been banned here and/or GameTZ? The reason why I ask is that I noticed that I got a request from a user id name that sounded familiar for nefarious reasons...I took a look here at the CAG trader ratings, and there he was in his banned glory. And yes, it was the same id. Should I continue with this trade? I know that I have the Goozex guarantee but I still don't want a scammer receiving a game over another.

And yes, it was the same id. Should I continue with this trade? I know that I have the Goozex guarantee but I still don't want a scammer receiving a game over another.
Hey I just got the email blast on this comment. Please email me at feedback and I'll check into the details.
To answer your question -- yes there have been users from both sites banned from Goozex. It's only a handful and 99.9% of CAGers have been awesome! But you guys know that already...
I'm running out the door now...will get back to the other questions later.

I was wondering if youd implement a system for trading strategy guides, and while Im at it, older games(i.e. games for the 386/486 on diskettes, old mac games)?

I thought that also... I mean just think of older PC and even Console games place for trades!
The problem i think they may have is a pricing structure. With the games they have available now they can somewhat lock down as to what they are worth. The older stuff it gets very hard to determine a value.
Too low and no one will offer them... too high and you get flooded.

Thats what I was thinking, but well for the strat guides just a set price(if you want to trade ones you no longer need towards a videogame you can do that or you can trade guide for guide at no loss).
I do understand the difficulty to set a price(sold many items in the CCG, CMG world and know how long it can take to set a fair value on some of the harder to find items). But it would be quite nice to see these mint copies of old games go to someone interested, but still give that helping hand towards somehting Id like.

damm.... I put gears of war on my request list and im like 80 something. So im like im never gonna get this. Then i add prey and im like in 20. So i get match to get prey and then i get an email that i was match for gears but dont have points for gears. If only i knew i was gonna get match for gears. This really pisses me off. So when i get the game i'll just relist.
Just listed a copy of Gears and I am 37 th in line??? Sounds like Goozex just got flooded with copies so you shouldn't have any problems matching up.

Quick question to Goozex. Any chance of updating the listings to show upc's? I went to list a game and the cover art is somewhat different for the game but it appears to the exact game.

Ugh, I'm in another dead trade loop. I've come up with a suggestion though.
Would this work? The scenario would be you get matched and wait for 24 hours for the seller to accept or not (just like it is now). But after the first one expires, the system would mark the seller and game. Now, if you get matched again, with that seller for that game, you would have the option to cancel the trade (i'm thinking a button in my requests). Then after the 3rd cycle, it would remove the listing the way it does now. How does that sound?

hey everyone! Q&A time...
iazybandit -- we are considering some additional shipping methods...surprisingly our survey results are showing that a majority of people like handling the packages themselves...tracking numbers would be very nice, but they come with a cost and depends on how people ship. In any case, we are working on this.
simpsonps121 - we need to improve on this, but the way we handle cancel trades is that we need both the buyer and seller to confirm that they want the trades cancelled. Then the buyer will leave positive feedback and we manually switch all the points around. Please be careful to avoid cancelling trades b/c the points earned by the seller are taken away and the position in the queues for each are given up.
mahzilla -- great suggestion about rss queue -- it is something we are working on
TahoeMax -- the 10 in front can a have a variety of issues that include
1. not enough points
2. not enough credits
3. not enough open trade slots
4. game is on hold
5. vacation mode
icruise -- I agree that we need to make a better effort to educate how the site works...you should start to see small improvements on that end...
GrayWolf323 -- only on the seller side do we remove games from queues -- and this happens when their matching cycle has timed out.
Good luck in boot camp and you can tell your buddies there that we have special coupons for military personnel -- send me a PM if you want to know more
sallyballs -- yes even on hold you move up the queue if people in front have games coming there way.
wckddudeman -- not the moment -- we've thought about adding other gaming products but it is not a priority. retro games is moving up the to-do-list. We need to figure if our point system works well with retro games...maybe a challenge
indigo0086 -- they are updated as trades happen...
kklems -- you can search by UPC in advanced search (look for the button on the front page on the left side...)
erock -- we are working on a solution for this problem...currently our idea is similar to yours.

I love the points s system no question, on my other favorite trading site bookmooch they just use a 1-1 trading token kind of thing, fine for cheap paperbacks but I'm not sending out a hardcover Harry Potter for a paper back startrek novel or something like that. I think they could benifit from the Goozex model. To the topic at hand, might I suggest getting current monitary value data from a source like VG Collector ( http://www.vgcollector.com/ ). When selling, or trading, or whatever I've found them to be very good in determining current values of "retro" or out of print games. I know a lot of the "retro" webstores, sellers, and traders go by their price guide. Digital Press has some value information too I think, http://www.digitpress.com/ . I think the challenge arises from not having the MSRP data from MUSE, but if one could get monitary value information from another source that does all the work instead of Goozex having to track pricing for hundreds or even thousands of older games then they can focus on other tasks. My 3 cents. Looking forward to "retro" trading.

In any case, we are working on this.
I ship my packages out myself but what I was getting at is when you accept the trade, you are given the option of 1 day to ship or 3 days to ship. I tend to put 3 days because I am sometimes late for work and cant make it so the 1 day would be useless and some people will question why you put 1 day when its send on day 2. It would be nice to let us modify the date it was sent to be more up to date. I ship with tracking number as well and I PM the receiver to let them know. Allowing us to include tracking number to the trade will inform receiver as well as provide proof for both receiver and goozex incase of dispute/claim.

I think that with games that are in greater demand, and especially those that are in demand and in great supply, there should a more of a fast-tracked matching process. I think that a game such as God of War should have a quicker out-the-door transaction. Could you guys implement a fast-track matching process that perhaps matches more than one person at a time for game such as these? It is for the benefit of Goozex and its members that games that are matched and can be matched...be in transit more than they should be sitting around waiting to be mailed out.

this is how i understand it...
if your matched
that trader will have 3 times to confirm trading with you, after the 3rd time has timed out then you will be put back in line but this could be tricky
Say there is a 1000 pt game and your 10 th in line but your the only person with trade pts and your matched
Day 1 match seller dont confirm
Day 2 match seller dont confirm
Day 3 match seller dont confirm- but person 4th in line has pts now
DAY 4 a new person list the game
The person who was 4th in line would be matched since they were offically head of you before the first matched started
BUT you do keep your spot in line (meaning you will still say 10th in line)

The best I can tell is after the 24 hour period, the match actually cancels then rematches. So if someone in a better que position gets points, they would end up with the match after the 24 hour period expires.

i agree this is needed. there is too much time waiting around for people to confirm. if they don't want to trade then get it off their lists. a bad side effect is that while i'm waiting around for some joker to decline my match he's tieing up my trade credit and i get emails about trades i can't make because i don't have credits. i like the way the music tradeing site lala.com works best:
1) no trading credits, you get charged after you receive a trade
2) when there are people who want one of your cd's you see a 'ship it' button next to that cd and if you want to trade then you click on that button and you get an address. instant trade. no bottlenecks of people who don't want to trade.

i say we need a new shipping time
Ship within 1 day
ship within 3 days
ship within 5 days (so add a new thing)
that way i would confirm on the first time it matches instead on the 3rd time so i know i can make it to the post office
if i say i ship within 3 days i will ship within those 3 days that is why i wait for the 2nd or 3rd time the game is request before accepting

Hey everyone -- hope you all had a great weekend...only a few questions since my last post
GrayWolf323 -- not sure how that works in our db about changing preferred console -- I'll ask our tech guy if there is basically a switch in the db that lets us offer that.
lurknomore -- we are working on a "fast track" matching process that still tries to maintain a fair balance for the buyer and seller. Will keep you posted on that.
slidecage -- yes you can email us at feedback @ goozex to ask for feedback reversals. What we can do is negative to positive. We can't do it from positive to negative.
indigo0086 -- you never lose your place in line unless you delete your selection from your library/requests.
erock -- games like guitar hero II (x360) come to use from muze with only one option (ps2 version has both options). Therefore please send the seller a PM if you are matched.

How about an option to respond to feedback?
For those that might have or want more than one copy of a game an option to list more than one copy to trade/request in the queue?
Make days until you mail BUSINESS days and not calender days ie a game you agree to ship late (or even after po closes) on thursday is marked autosend on Sunday giving people only one business day (friday) to ship plus half day Saturday. Same problem with postal holidays.

i was thinking the same thing BUT when you think about it people could abuse the systems.
Say kingdom hearts 2 is 500 pts and 20 people want the game and 20 people have it .
say like someone finds say Kingdom hearts 2 for 4.99 locally and buys 20 copies of it. Meaning the next 20 people who request it they would be first in line
meaning one person would grab 10,000 pts and the rest would have 0 pts compair to
20 people having 500 pts to blow each
it would just jam up the system if people were allowed to list more then 1 copy of a game at a time. If you do have more then one copy you can always relist it once its been traded and feedback left (though you go to the end of th eline)

Quick question for Goozex. If you are shipping more than one game to a trader at a time can you combine into one shipment and still be covered against lost, theft etc. Since there would be two items and one dc # how would you handle things?

I actually won the March CAG giveaway, but I wanted to wait till I had more than two weeks experience with Goozex before weighing in with my opinions.
The Goozex community has been great, I've had a couple dozen trades total (sent and received) without a hitch so far. The system to talk to people you are matched with works well (i.e. ask if they have received the game yet, or explain you are shipping later than anticipated). The people that run the site are very responsive to any questions you may have.
I'm glad I gave the site a try, investing a few old games risk-free (they will reimburse you points if the game arrives broken or missing, I think) and getting new games to play in return. My friends I have invited have also had positive experiences.

I don't think there's any way to say, since you can theoretically get a game right away even if you're in 90th place, as long as the people ahead of you don't have points (or are on vacation or have their selection on hold, etc).

I'm trading a PS2 game to some one with 8 positive feedback, 2 neutral feedback and 1 negative feedback --- but he has a feedback score of 275... how is that possible? Is he a beta tester and you removed his feedback from that time or does he work for Goozex?

I read the Goozex newsletter and I'm listening to the GoozCast...and I like the production values in both. Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with in the coming episodes. I hope that you all get to the point where you both can have a bit more fun. Some of us know that you have more personality than you're giving on the GoozCast1.
So where is that forum space? Or community space? Throw that up on the website. It is a already a great trading community.

LOL i read this fast and thought it said
My friends I have invented was wondering how you could invent friends :)

Are people really trading guitar hero full sets?
A. Who would want to trade away such an awesome game.
B. Seems fairly expensive to ship......but for 1000 points...hmmmmmm.
I'm happy I gave Goozex a 2nd chance. I was hooked up with two trades and they both shipped them on time or early.

Is it just me, or is the Wii Play a deal at 700 points? The Wii Play includes the Wii -mote, right? That's what the description says.
About how quickly matches are being made, it seems as if matches are being made at a quicker clip. I don't know if anything has changes...maybe kiddos have gotten back from Spring vacation or something.

They are only required to send the mote if they list it as full package, however for 700 points it aughta. Wii Play the game itself is worth maybe 300 points in my mind. Probably closer to 200.

i don't believe the system makes the distinction, which is kind of a shortcoming. With the Guitar Hero games there are actually two separate listings for the game only and the game+guitar set, each of which has its own value.

“Goozex has received an offer for the game "NBA Street Homecourt" (platform: Xbox 360) and your request was first in line but could not be selected for lack of 50 Goozex points.
Please refill your account with 50 Goozex points in order to be selected when the next offer becomes available”
Do you know how long I have been waiting for this game? For about a month now, I thought the game was 800 points. I didn’t realize it was 900. How long does it usually take for the offer to come back around again? Please don’t tell me another month. Could somebody enlighten me on this process I would really appreciate it.:-#

Sorry to be a such a stern ass about it. But let this be a lesson to you. You should always have more than enough in your points account, as prices do move up and down depending on supply and demand. Just as you would carefully manage your own checking account and finances, you should account for a points buffer of a few hundred......

For any game that includes an accessory such as the Guitar Hero 360 where they have a listing of it with the guitar, they should do the same for Wii Play. One listing for game only and one listing for Wii Play w/remote. This way, there is no confusion whether or not it comes with it or not.

If nobody else who had the game requested had enough points for it, you could get matched again in a matter of hours (assuming you have the points). If someone else got it, though, you'll have to wait for another copy to get put on the site.

Hey everyone...sorry for the long delay in getting back...
Yesterday was an exciting day for us -- we won a startup competition hosted by Under Armour...we'll post a press release on that soon.
stick97 -- that's a great idea to show your progress through the queue...we are going to make a big push in the next two months to focus on some key site developments
as for stats on avg. speed through a queue that will be tricky for us to gauge...it really does depend on the multiple variables that include supply & demand and the unique point/trade credit positions of all the people in the queue...among other things...thanks icruise for the help
kklems -- yes, you are covered for all trades including sending two in one package....
yusuk3 -- thanks for joining and sharing your experience! It means a lot to us when people share their experiences with others...it's the word-of-mouth we value most and want to really help promote!
indigo0086 -- I'll check into your account soon...but my assumption is that you're going to be facing high demand from new members who haven't yet picked up points
cheapfrag -- the guy with 275 feedback score was a alpha tester (as well as a partner in the business) -- great call on that b/c you scared me at first...
lurknomore -- we are going to make a big push on site development over the next few months...expect to see a few big changes...
spoo -- thanks for giving us a 2nd chance!
iazybandit -- the hard part for games like guitar hero, ddr, wii play and others that have hardware accessories is that our content provider doesn't provide us other options to display -- in other words when we show only one version of wii play(with mote) then that's because that's the only product description we've got. There are some games like Guitar Hero II (ps2) that have both types -- game only and game + guitar
I personally don't know how Muze selects which games get multiple options and how others don't
xtchuh -- curious about your idea for point cards...how do you see that working?
snakelda -- you are confirmed for the ps3 game prize...

xtchuh -- curious about your idea for point cards...how do you see that working?
I guess if people catch a great deal with Point Cards from an online store, they can instead flip them to Goozex. Have it so the 1600 Point Card is 400 Points ($20), and the 4000 1,000 Points. ($50). Some people are able to get 1600 Points from around $15, so they can go around and trade it for something around $20. Point Cards seems like something that will always be high in demand.
magiic
05-05-2007, 07:34 PM
only thing is different regions have different cards the US has 1600 and 4000 point cards that technically only work on US XBL accounts. Canada has 1250,1400 and 2800 point cards.

Don't be too frustrated, the queue number is a guide at best. I've been matched for a game that I was 20 in line for since other people didn't have the points or trade credits. Make sure you can afford the game and you will get it sooner rather than later.

I thought the inverse was true. Nobody seemed to want to trade on SaySwap and the site moderator's profile, HotChick, turned into a bitching and complaining board of failed trades and scammers.
Goozex has been real good to me. I get a little over 2 games traded to me for every 1 game I trade to someone else, due to the value of the games I trade which tend to be RPG's.
I guess it depends on chance, or maybe the matching system works now.

I personally love Goozex so far. It is especially good when you have a ha-uge backlog of games (RPGs no less, NIS RPGs to boot....I'm resigned to being a hermit for a while). I'm in no hurry to get games, and am content to rack up points until I thin the pile down a bit. Hell I'm sitting on 10,000 points of games right now at least. This is pissing me off!
First of all I have had a lot of the people who send me stuff sending it ultra late (often 4 or 5 days past when they were supposed to send) and now I get this crap...
I requested a COMPLETE copy of the Call of Duty: United Offensive Expansion(PC) and was matched immediately. I was a little worried because the guy who I was matched with had neutral Feedback for not sending his games complete, and the lesser of the two good feedbacks(the one saying it works but not in good condition) for the trade before that.
Sure enough I got my game in the mail today and it was the two discs in a jewell case with the back insert of the original Call of Duty, with the back insert of COD: United Offensive crammed in the jewell case where the manual/cover art would go..... that's it! No box, no instructions, no anything! Like shoving that back insert in front was going to fool anyone into thinking this was complete.
This is totally weak because the worst I can do is send Neutral feedback which does nothing to the guy whatsoever. He still gets to spend his points, I'm still out 100 points & a trade credit, and he can do this as many times as he feels like.
Isn't there a rule against this for users who continually do this? It was obviously done purposefully as the guy knew nobody would request a disc-only copy of this game when there were complete copies available.
I was ordering this for my dad who was looking for an inexpensive copy of this expansion but with the original box/case/whatever as he likes to display them next to his computer. So now I have to cough up more points and another trade credit and hope that the next guy doesn't screw me, while this guy gets his trade credits and a chance to screw the next guy.
Anyways I was thinking of writing a warning(to other users) in the commment column when I send him the Neutral feedback. Maybe something like:
"does not send complete as promised, repeat offender, be careful with what you get"
or something like that. Is this going too far?? I really wish I could send the guy a Negative but I'll stick with the rules.

sallyballs -- lol, you are mailing Disgaea 2 to Jon
Manchowder -- I got your PM and I thought I'd answer out here since some others may have similar questions:
1. Regarding abusive neutral feedback offenders -- there is an internal review if someone passes a certain threshold. Though its rare, my next step is to email the offender to remind them what full package vs. disc only means. After that depending on the unique details of the case we make a judgement call. This has probably happened twice in the past year.
2. The message area in the feedback is there to give you a voice in the transaction. If you loved it then I'm sure the seller will be happy to hear it. If you are less then happy, then you say that as well. We are not in the business of censorship, and cannot monitor all messages that filter through the feedback. Our only guide is that you avoid curse words and general hate type of messages -- be friendly even if you are upset.
In the end we use the messages to better help us make a decision on certain key situations. For example -- if you report broken disc and say it looks like a trank ran over the bubble mailer then we know that nobody is at fault except the tank driver. If a trader has a history of Awesome feedbacks and one negative -- we give the benefit of the doubt to the great past history...so in the end, your comments are valuable and should reflect the type of person you are.
Didn't mean to ramble, I just wanted to make sure everyone understands how we view the personal comments.
Remember there are thousands of trades per month and our team is small -- as our community grows we are giving more power to you to help us have the best trading site out there!
Finally, Why is it neutral vs. negative? Our policy is such that we want to find a balance between the buyer and seller. It is neutral because the seller has sent you a game that works and is playable, but wasn't what you expected. The compromise is that the seller doesn't advance in open trading slots b/c their feedback score does not increase with neutral. As you can see with Magiic, open trade slots are valuable. As a buyer you have control over this decision and that is the balance part for you. You have received a game that you can play, and stopped a seller in advancing with open trade slots.
Again, sorry for being long on this point.
Comments are welcome!

My take on this, is that I'm not sure this is completely fair to the buyer in this situation. If the buyer specifies they only want a complete package, then the seller is misrepresenting what he is offering. Generally, I'm of the opinion I want the game to play, so the other stuff is not important to me. But, if I'm given the option to choose buy or not, based on completeness of the game, the seller should be obligated to honor their end of the deal. I think the buyer is being unfairly penalized here. If they really want the complete package and are sent disc only, their only way to recoup from the transaction is to relist the game, have someone request it. Then get matched and traded with another copy.

If we haven't posted feedback before the 21-day time-out, do we get an e-mail letting us know the system is about to close the trade?
I want to give the trader all the time available, but I'd rather post a negative early than have the system close the trade as a positive because I forgot how many days it had been.

you should get an email letting you know that your transaction will close in 7 days, then you wait as long as you feel comfortable before you send feedback. I'm in that situation right now, more than likely due to yet another person sending super late:roll:

I agree - especially since a buyer can not decline a match with a seller. The neutral feedback and negative comment is a non-factor because the next buyer has no option to act upon that feedback other than to PM the seller and emphasize that the game is to be complete.

I agree with you totally.
If this was a guy who had good feedback and just one small part was missing then I wouldn't be so upset. But this was an obvious "up-yours" from this trader, he knew his copy was nowhere near complete but also knew that there was no real penalty for his actions. As we get more and more new people on the site and they start figuring this out, then you will more than likely see this more often. The Matrix match will quickly become pointless if this starts catching on.
I mean I have some disc only stuff in my library list that I could get rid of easier by listing them as complete. If I didn't go overboard doing it I would never get in trouble. I would get my points, get rid of my disc only games, and only have a few neutrals on my feedback. However, unlike this guy I'd feel like crap for doing it.
I should at least be able to block future matches with this guy so I don't get screwed by him again. I know people have mentioned this idea before and I'm starting to think it's a good idea too.
By the way, in case anyone is wondering who this guy is his name is <Sting.>... watch what you get from this guy.

Agreed.
And... what about in cases where the product is marketed specifically as having a certain accessory, i.e. Dance Dance Revolution with Mat, Eye Toy Groove with Camera, Point Blank with Guncon, or Guitar Hero with Guitar... if you request full and it doesn't come with the accessory, being essential part of the gameplay, would neutral feedback suffice when the buyer is out points and left with a game that is near unplayable without having to purchase an accessory to go with it?
It just seems it would put the buyer at a lot of hassle if such were to occur, with little penalty to the sender other than a slap on the wrist.
Then again, perhaps I'm overlooking something.

This is what scares me the most out of this discussion. I'm matched with guitar hero. I purposly listed full package in order to get the guitar. If the game is delivered without a guitar, i'm out 1000 points. Then if i relist it to try the process over I'm in the situation of listing a game I know does not have a guitar...but not a good way to indicate that. And the penalty to the seller is essentally nothing.
Additionally, with a few exceptions, this is a purposful, willful action. The seller has a lot to gain listing to trade the game quickly, but really no penalty. I'm not concerned about the penalty, but the buyer is indeed penalized in this example transaction.

Is there something wrong with the PS3 availability list? Games don't seem to be moving at all. For example, Fight Night Round 3 has been listed for quite some time yet my place in the queue has not budged.

If you get it without the guitar I would mark it as game does not work if I were in your shoes get your credits back and stick it to the buyer. Especially because without the guitar it really doesnt "work"

funny thing about those best buy coupons,. over the weekend this young kid was in front of me trying to use on of the copies probally off this site. The worker looked at it and called the managaer. The kid took off running right out the door like they were going to call the cops or something on them. The look on the cashiers face was funny as hell.

I was matched for the Guitar Hero 2 bundle a few times...luckily they happened when I was out of trade credits. I had plenty of points and trade credits during a small time period but was never matched again. I'd be aghast if I paid 900/1000 for a guitar-less Guitar Hero 2 bundle and got a 600 point GH2 game instead.

Is anyone else having a problem getting feedback. I ship first class with delivery confirmation. I know when a game gets to the buyer. 4 out of the 4 games I've sent out I've had to send an email two days later and ask the buyer to close out the deal with feedback.
I usually ship next day and I send an email with the delivery confirmation number so the buyer knows to be on the lookout. Don't you think it would be nice of the buyer to promptly give feedback? I'm not asking for a tip or anything special...just positive feedback to free up a trade slot...
Thanks for letting me vent!!!

I agree with others on the accessory, I'm sure some games work fine without that component, but buyers requesting complete want the game and accessory, not just the game. I don't know how some sellers feel comfortable doing that or maybe it is just me, but I can't even bring myself to listing a greatest hits version of Hot Shots Golf for PSP...
For me, I probably end up contacting the seller and attempt to work something out (if they accidentally listed in the wrong area), otherwise I would just neg, leave the feedback, wait for the points to come back, then send it back to the seller with delivery confirmation. My reasoning, if you did know and you sent it, you deserve the feedback and the warning is for others to know what happened. Too bad we can't see feedback when a request is made so we can be certain whether or not to accept from the seller or not.
Cheers :)

I think leaving feedback two days after receiving the game is fair since gamers have to check to see whether the game actually works or not. I've had a used game (not from goozex) lock up on me after a certain level. If I had sent a feedback as soon as I received a game and found it not to be working, then I would have to email goozex to change the feedback and such. While their time is appreciated helping the users of the site, their time would be better spent improving the site.
Sending a reminder at least three days after confirmation of shipment sounds reasonable.

If it is going to lock up on a later level, that's a risk we all take buying games...

I think the buyer should be given a few days to put in feedback. The seller has lots of time to accept a trade and ship it out, it's only fair to give the buyers some time to leave feedback.

Hey everyone!
Let me get some questions then respond to comments and then next post will have April CAG Promo Winners!
stolazi -- you will get two emails before the system times out. The first lets you know that you have 7 days left to report feedback. The second lets you know that you 3 days left to report feedback. If ever the system closes and you still have not received a game...then you can email us a request to refund your points.
ntilasi -- as a seller that faces a buyer who doesn't report feedback the system will automatically close the trade and give you positive feedback and advance your feedback score.
Thanks for the comments on neutral feedback! Just to throw out ideas, would it help out a lot if you could contact the seller before he can commit? One challenge for us is how much time do we allow the seller to be hung up waiting for a buyer to send a PM about a trade.
As for games with accessories. Games like Guitar Hero II for 360 puts us in a weird position. We literally do not have from our content provider the two ways to post the game (1. with guitar 2. without guitar) -- This option is available for the PS2 version. One option is to completely remove the game from our system. The other option is to take it on a case by case basis.

For Guitar Hero II 360, if it's listed as complete it better come with the controller. If it's listed as disk only or disk plus manual, then there's no expectation of getting the controller, regardless of what it's listed as. Seems to me the matrix still applies to this item.

I don't see that as a great advantage. The matrix is pretty clear about what the expectation of the seller is. If they fail to ship what is promised they misrepresented their product.

I think the expectation is pretty clear. The game is called Guitar hero (game and guitar bundle). If a seller lists that (especially if they list it as complete) they need to include the guitar. If it was listed the other way and not specified as a bundle then the expectation should not be to include the guitar.

I had a couple of bad ones recently. First Wario for the Wii, which never got sent, then Pokemon Pearl, which also never got sent and now it's 50 points more! Sucks that there are these deadbeat members who abuse the system. I noticed the Pearl guy has already received 2 games.
