Apparently they are not doing to well and a lot of the books gets stolen. I can understand why- I always see homeless people reading books in the store.
Anyways, they are having a 30% off sale on all books with White dots. There could be more sales in the future. Its pretty sad though. It seems like a lot of stores in Berkeley are closing.
EDIT: The white dot books are now 40% off
EDIT: I see now that the discount is now 50% off.

well thats a shame, im not a big fan of berkeleys mass population of degenerates... how many books have white dots? all of them? the throwbacks? keep me up to date, might be worth a trip out there.

So far all the cheap books at the front have white dots. There are some white dot books on the shelves though. If you live nearby, it might be worth checking out. If you live faraway, I suggest you wait- there might be more sales down the line.

I live half a block away from Barnes and Noble. Sad because I noticed the sale (obviously because I walk by it everyday) but didn't know they were acutally actually going out of business. No more sitting in there to read books when I'm too cheap to buy them :(

I added a date for the title thread. The store closes on May 31st. The discounts might increase but its not for certain.

I'm holding out until a little later in the month to see if the price goes down even more. But some of the prices on the books are awesome...they have a bargain price and it's like an additional 40% off the bargain price. I grabbed a few books that I've always wanted that they only had a single copy left and I paid around $4 for books that retail for $15.

is it picked clean or is there still stuff on sale/worth getting? Just wondering since I'll be in Berkeley on Friday.

It's closing?! BLAH! That's a great B&N! Oh well...guess i'll have to go to Pegasus when I'm waiting for a seat at La Note.
Also, I doubt it's the homeless folks stealing the books as much as it is the Berkeley High kids. I've never seen such an aimless, degenerate group of kids in my life...and my own high school was pretty lame.
I'll pop in this weekend. My girlfriend is tired of me playing games all the time and wants me to start reading. Wouldn't she be surprised if i came home with a sack fulla cheap awesome books :)

I'm pretty sure it's picked clean. If I have time later, I'll take a quick peek to see if there are any graphic novels left. Actually, I don't even think that section was even on sale.

I don't know about the graphic Novel section. I never really look there.
And yes. I like Brutal Truth. I thought it makes a great avatar too!

Vietgurl, thanks for checking. I usually get my graphic novels at cons because they are so cheap. I wouldn't mind picking some up in Berkeley if I can get them for a similiar price.
