Posted this on Yahoo! Answers, but figured it was worth a shot on CAG too:

My car's CD player can play any CD's I burned with iTunes save for the ones I've burned in about the last month. I've verified all the settings in iTunes (they're correct), and tried three brands of CD-R's. They'll play in my stereo, but won't play in any of three cars I've tested. I'd THINK it was a dirty laser problem, but it plays older burned discs, even extremely scratched ones, just fine. I'm stumped!

Long story short: itunes CD's no longer read in my car. Why?

Does your stereo support playing MP3 discs? If so it might be the fact that iTunes is burning it has a MP3 discs.

Try burning a disc with another program such as Nero.

Already checked the options to make sure it's burning Audio CD's not MP3 CD's.

Simple, your iTune songs are m4a formatted. They are not mp3, convert them to mp3. Many stereos don't support m4a. Mine doesn't. Also, when you convert a song from m4a to mp3 the songs size will get bigger, so less songs will fit into a CD. The most mp3's I got into a CD with iTunes is 156 songs. I made another mp3 CD using Real player, I added the same songs and still had space for more. The CD I made in Real Player came out with 158.

In iTunes right click on a song and select "Show in Windows Explorer", you should be taken to where the song is located in your harddrive, check if the songs name ends with .mp3

EDIT: Never mind, I see that you want an a regular audio CD, sorry I don't know the problem.
