Hey there Everyone.
I just got todays paper and inside was a Meijer's Flyer that advertised a Fri & Sat Deal for the 20th & 21st.
All General Merchandise is 20% with your Meijer's Card and the exclusions do not include consoles, Ipods, or Zunes.
Also if it is your first time using the Meijer's Credit Card you get an additional 10% off.
They had a similar sale about 2 months ago and that was when I got my 360.
This is how it would work:
Premium 360: 400-80(20%)=320-32(10%)=288 before tax
I am thinking about getting a PSP which for me would be $136 but if you hadn't already used your Meijer Card it would be $122.40 pretax.
Also if you have already used the extra 10% you can have a spouse sign up for there own card to get another 10% that's what a buddy of mine did last time. Anyway just thought I'd let you know.
PS No Coupon needed it automatically takes the amount off when you swipe the credit card.

Do you need a coupon for the 20% off or does it automatically get taken off?

Do you need a coupon for the 20% off or does it automatically get taken off?
For the last few sales, the discount was taken off automatically.

Just wanted to add that they have a deal going where if you buy a PSP and Ratchet and Clank or MLB 07 you get a $25 coupon for your next video game purchase. So if you bought the psp with 20% off it would be 134, Ratchet would be 32, so all together you would get a PSP, a game, and a $25 coupon for 168.

Thanks to OP.
I got a PSP for 129.99-20%=135.99-10%=122.39 + tax
I also got Ratchet Clank for 39.99-20%=31.99-10%=28.79 + tax
At that time of the transaction the coupon also printed out for 25 off my next video game purchase. They let me use it immediately so I picked up Lemmings for free. (It was 24.99)
So for 160.25 for the PSP and 2 games it was quite a steal!!
THANK YOU CAG!!!
This was the Meijer in Ann Arbor, MI on Saline/Ann Arbor Road.
They did also have 2 PS3 60GB in stock as of 7:00 AM EST.

About 180 dollars off the ps3 before taxes...
Unbelivably tempting..
Meh, I doubt I'd get approved for a card anyway.

got my 360 ("premium") at 9am this morning for $308 out the door. Stunning deal!
That and I got the "Meijer Platinum Mastercard" with a pretty decent limit and rates. Woot! :)
Well okay, all credit card rates suck.

No. Meijer sucks. They used to be great about 10 years ago, but their videogame department is a disaster now.
Meijer (the vast majority) doesn't even employ entertainment department employees (games, dvds, music). You just find random people to open game cases, take those stupid clips off the memory card and controller shelf hangers, etc. The photo lab is where I have to go to get the game case opened. My Meijer doesn't even staff the lottery/cigarette counter. They busted down a wall so the customer service people could walk down and ring you up after waiting 5-20 minutes for them to deal with the problems on that end. Not that it's all Meijer's fault. They're forced to reduce service overall because Walmart puts so much pressure on them.

I don't know where you live, but every store that I've been to throughout Indiana and Michigan (about 20 total) has been a pleasure to shop at. Well staffed, clean, and polite employees.

I thought the same thing when I applied, try it anyways. Even if you get a $100 limit, you still get the discount in full. It's not how much you put on the card, as long as you put something on it.
For example, I bought a PS3 today for $508 total, I only put $50 on my Meijer card and paid for the rest with my debit card. Still got the full discount!
Big fan of this sale. I might stop over just to grab a Wii points card or something little.
A PS3 is very tempting though!

I might get a Nintendo DS. $93.60 after all the coupons and stuff. The problem is, my Meijer probably only has the pink ones.

Not to turn this into a trade thread, but I do have an extra 60 GB ps3 (guy that I bought one for doesn't want it :bomb:) so, if anyone is in need of one $520+SH+paypal...just LMK.

Just go to customer service and ask for an application. It takes about 5 mins to get an answer.

Just got back from Meijer's.
Bought the PSP & Rachet and Clank. Came to 178 with tax. (with just the 20%)
Then used the $25 coupon on Rogue Galaxy which has a price drop to 29.99, brought it down to 5.29 with tax.
Then slid my Meijer Card through and it reduced the game down to free.
So if you use your Meijer Card and have the $25 coupon you can buy $30 worth of stuff as long as you swipe your Meijer Card.

$417 netted me a 360 Premium, Crackdown, and a rechargable battery set for my Wii.
Considering that's about that's what I would have paid for the 360 alone, not a bad deal at all.

I'm writing this message on my brand new 60gb PS3. $457 out the door including tax. Just can't beat the savings. Bought it at Meijer in Sterling Heights, MI (16 mile/Van Dyke) - they had 3 left as of 11pm.

scored motorstorm (ps3) for $40 and change out the door.
$60 - $10 off $50 coupon (in mail to meijer customers in my area) - 20% off cc promotion + tax = ~$40.

Got xbox360, Rainbow Six: Vegas, extra wireless controller, and some more rechargeable batteries for just under $400. That's just plain awesome. I've had a Wii since launch, but have been thirsting for some more engaging games, so this should rock.
I suppose Guitar Hero II for 360 wouldn't be bad...assuming the local Meijer has a copy.
Guess I'll check on that later today.

I live in Michigan, never been to any in Indiana though. There's a couple near me. The ones that are hurting are those that tend to have Walmarts very close, within a few miles. After the Walmart nearest to me opened, the closest Meijer had to cut 1 manager per department down to 1 manager covering 8 departments (meaning it's a long wait when a clerk needs approval for anything). The tobacco/lotto counter isn't staffed anymore either. They even had the store remodeled, coincidentally by the company that did Walmart's last big makeover.
The next closest Meijer also had a Walmart open up the following year. Kinda like how pharmacies open shop nextdoor to pharmacies. I totally support Meijer though. Saving a few cents at Walmart isn't worth me bailing on Meijer.

I'll admit their game selection isn't as good as it use to be, I still see good stuff their a lot. My only gripe is that Meijer sometimes charges more than others for particular games, and they don't seem to do as many $9.99 price drops as they use to (like how I picked up Grandia Xtreme and many other RPGs for $9.99, which are worth more now).

Anyway, I already have a PS3 and 360 (almost got a 20GB PS3 during a sale in December, until a scalper took it, but I still got a PS3 a little later at Meijer). Hopefully I see a Wii during a similar sale.
I picked up two games, Armored Core 4 (PS3) and Syphon Filter Dark Mirror (PSP). I would have picked up more, but didn't want to spend too much. I mostly plan to use the sales for PS3 games.

Thanks OP. I ended up picking up a PSP for $126 and tax after the 20% discount and the extra 10% with my first Meijer CC purchase. I have been waiting to get a PSP and this was the right moment with the discount. Thanks again!
