What is the B2G1 sale? Is that Amazon specific? I haven't bought it yet but if I can get another game and one free, I'm all ears.
eh, im just glad i got Elite Beat Agents yesterday. I cant stand the whole card based rpg games.

Ooohhh... First one in a long while that I'm tempted to get. I definitely want to pick this up, but $19.99 + shipping is just a bit too high. I agree with CoffeeEdge, $15 shipped would be my limit on it. I just have a feeling this will go on clearance at a variety of places sooner or later. I shelled out $30 + 2 trade-ins (got credit for those though) at GR to get the first game and have yet to play it. Of course, since then I've found it for as little as $3 new (Kmart). So I'm hesitant to spend any more than $10, though I could do $15 just in case this was more limited and won't be quite the clearance fodder the first game was.

This is a spicy meatball, especially with the possibility of it dropping later on. A lot of CAGs were trying to grab this back during the sale at FYE...
Luckily a CAG picked one up for me. :D

Yeah, it was $20 for a while. It was posted on here but fell off the early pages rather quickly I think.
I might have to go for that Star Trek game then just throw it on my trade list.

Hmmm.. My closest FYE is 20 miles (each way). I went up there once a LONG time ago to see about trade-in deals (since everyone here seems to get such great deals there). They didn't seem to know what they were doing so I never went back. But it is up near where my in-laws live so I may check it out again. Of course the game is $40 on the FYE web site. psiufoxx2 - I assume this is an in-store only thing then? Is it limited time only? Hell, they probably don't even have it there, but I could give them a call before I go to be sure.
Edit - Searched around a bit. It seems it became $9.99 at FYE in mid-March, so not such a great chance of finding it at this point unless a particular store didn't update the price tag. Is Wherehouse also part of FYE now? I think I have one of those fairly close, actually. I went in there once and their game selection was pretty pathetic, but it is probably worth checking out again.
In any case, I'll hold off on this DotD unless they drop it more later in the day. At least I have a few more options to look for this game (and I'm still holding out hope that a local chain store, Fred Meyer, which has a lot of these in stock will put it on clearance soon).

Bout damn time we got a decent DotD. I would love to bite, but the EBGS B2G1 AND I also get the feeling that stores of all shapes and sizes will start clearencing every Xb, NGC and PS2 game they can find.

I think it's funny that people spent a lot of days angry about the DOTD deal being lackluster and then when a good one comes in, comments switch to not having enough money or waiting for a different sale.
I'm not saying I haven't been in the same exact boat, just funny to see the tone of the comments shift like that.
$20 is excellent, i might get it...

I picked a copy up and bought the Sonic Cartoon DVD as well, but only because I've been meaning to get it anyway.

you can say that again. I got it off gamefly for around 23 used back in oct.
Played it for around hour or two and tossed it in the corner
Bad things
You only use one deck
The game is 10x harder then the first one
AI seems to high you for more damage then your hitting back and they cheat

If I go to Amazon's Video Games page, I no longer see the "Deal Of the Day" section (the ol' question mark box) on the page. I used to see it, but now, nothing. I'm using Firefox on a PC. Anyone else get this problem? Of course, no harm really as long as a fellow CAG posts a link each day, but I don't understand where the DOTD section went on the Amazon website for me.

Now don't I feel like the idiot! In my defense, I use a vertically oriented widescreen monitor, and the right side of most webpages does not appear in the viewable space. I often forget to scroll horizontally. Thanks for setting me straight.

What is the general consensus of the game? I found the first Baten Kaitos for $5 or $10, I can't recall, at Target about 3 weeks ago... the last copy in stock, and figured I might as well grab it. But now I've got around $29 and change in Amazon.com Coinstar credit waiting to burn. So I'm thinking maybe I'll get it and play both together. Does it matter which order you play it in, what with one being a prequel? Thoughts?

Wow...it's very hard to take your comment seriously after this , "Played it for around hour or two and tossed it in the corner".
I was a HUGE fan of the first game. And yes, admittedly I was in the same state of mind as you "the first hour or two" . But, once you get your team, the battle system destroys the first game. It's not even a question.
It is so much faster and fluid. There is no "damage recap" after every turn. Combos are not limited to 9 cards anymore. You can chain like 20-30 cards together with three characters.
Harder than the first? You think Origins is hard? D=
$20 is a no brainer.
I'm glad this thread reminded me to play this game again. Ever since I found a Wii, I haven't played it since.
