Just saw this thread on DVD talk. It appears that Sam's Club has the signature series of From Earth to the Moon for only $23 bucks. I think the last time I saw it at Circuit City it was still pushing $60 or so. Definately would be a time to pounce on this. I'm hoping to get my parents to come with me so I can get in on their membership and check the store. As always, YMMV. Good luck!

Now if this would happen with Band of Brothers...

EDIT: Thanks to Kfoster1979 for adding that the Wire Season 1 can also be found for $22.88, YMMV of course.

If you didn't have any luck at Sam's Club, Amazon has the "From the Earth to the Moon" Signature Edition DVD set as its Gold Box Deal for today, June 5.

Now $25.99 and it qualifies for their free Super Saver Shipping.

I wish the other seasons of The Wire would drop to under $30. I keep seeing S1 for around $25 everywhere now :(

Agreed, though I think the reason for the low price is because, though critical acclaim is high, it still hasn't caught on in terms of ratings. They likely suspect that if they lower the price, people will try it out and get hooked. Then the next seasons aren't so cheap; the classic drug dealer concept. Ironic, given the subject of the show.

The sad part is next season is the last  but by far one of the best shows on TV.
