Dammit. JUST when I finished buying a game I wanted, ANOTHER has to show up. Chances are this'll drop further into the night. Here's to hoping for $25.

Can we please just make a consolidate thread for these DOTD's. They're as popular and consistant as speedy's ads. Plus, it would be nice to see a history of all of the past deals, especially in this case.

Not as good as DOTD used to be, but this is still the best price on the game, so I'm not gonna complain. I'll have to pass, but thanks for the link OP.

I recall CheapyD said separate Amazon DOTD threads. Either way I don't mind :)

Yeah. I mentioned that before and he said it's better to have seperate threads. Perhaps someone can attempt compiling a list at least?

Cheapy has specifically stated he prefers the new thread. I do too. Threads get full of comments and junk fast. I always lose track of new things in uber threads because people just chatter endlessly so you stop checking. It's just too much work to filter value out of the noise, so you lose things. Single threads have a limited lifespan by their nature, and even if they get chatty they'll at least die a natural death and valuable new information will be in a new thread.

That would probably be a nice addition to the CAG wiki.. history of the Amazon DotDs with price drops, etc. Now who's going to put the legwork into this project? :-P
I don't mind the separate thread. I do mind when multiple posts come up for the same deal. What are you people doing, waiting by your keyboard with a stopwatch just to be the first to post these?

Very nice job. I can fill in a few of the ones you weren't able to find with the search (I've been keeping my own list out of curiosity since the beginning of April)
(March 27th) Phantasy Star Universe (360) $12.99
(April 1) WWE Smackdown vs. Raw (360) $24.99
(April 12) Phantasy Star Universe (PS2) $17.99
Sorry I couldn't fill every gap, but that's as far back as my list goes.

Anyone know how price-matching works for DotD's, particularly with Amazon.com matching its own price drops throughout the day? I purchased Lost Planet: CE yesterday at $44.99, but it dropped to $39.99 before the deal closed.
I'm out of luck, right?

No, just e-mail them for a $5 refund... I think it should work.
Oh, and the OP should copy that full list of previous DotD's to the OP, and then we could add to it and copy it to each new DotD thread each day.

hmmm - was hoping this would have dropped down to $20 again. Oh well - I'll wait on some FF goodness and rehash on FF VII on my PSP in the meantime :D

yeah -- when it went down to 20, it wasn't the dotd -- it was almost as if amazon goofed up -- it was 20 only for a short period of time.
i too hope it drops to 20 again, though -- will def. try to pick it up if it does.

Yeah, I should've definitely picked this up when it was $20. I'm sure I could've found a book or something to qualify for free shipping. I can't remember why I didn't either my checking account was low at the time, or I was so choked with games that I figured I could hold off for a while. In any case, I'd love to play me some FFXII, but I'll hold off until I see it for $20 again.
