Decent DOTD for the PC crowd.

Is this a bad deal or something? All the places I've checked still have it at $40.
Awww....I was hoping for something that was tempting to me.
But for people that don't have it, this is a great DOTD.

WAS $24.99 at first. Guess we know what the price will be when it drops later today.
Reason it's a stinker is cause:
A) Most WoW players will have already bought this on day 1.
B) If you don't care for WoW or PC games, you won't want this.

Uhh...it's showing up as being $24.99 for me. I'm not a big PC gamer, but this seems like a much better deal for those interested.

Now it appears Amazon CANNOT MAKE UP THEIR MIND ON THIS PRICE.

Fixed the title. Hopefully they've decided on a price. It's like they've got two people arguing on what it should be priced as. :P

Hey dunno if you guys noticed but you can buy WOW and the expansion together for $30. Buying together is usually a rip off but not bad in this case

I do not know one person who plays world of warcraft that does not have the expansion already. Still a decent deal if you are getting into the game now.

That bundle is really cheap. 50% of the total price.

That's a great deal for both games.

Honestly, this is probably the second best, at worst third, deal of the day so far. Especially when you consider the combo offer. It really should be featured higher on the page instead of buried where it is. Not for me, I never really enjoyed WoW after they nerfed Mage's invis, but still a good game at a really good price. Much better than most of the trash they've been dishing.
neonglow
04-24-2007, 04:57 AM
Either the OP or a mod should add to the title that the combo is $30.
BoSoxFan900
04-24-2007, 04:59 AM
Picked up the combo. I'll probably end up selling WoW to a friend for $10 or $15 and keep BC for myself.

Even if you have the original WoW but aren't a hardcore player (in other words, have no issue starting a new character), it's still worth it to get the combo just for the free month. $5 for a month is much better than $13.
I just don't have the time for MMO's, personally.

Seems like most who plan to play WOW would already have done so by now..... but I bet Amazon proves me wrong throughout the day as I see it creeping up in the sales rankings.

Does buying BC give you a month of playtime? My account is currently frozen and playing the 10 day free trial atm. I took a 5 month hiatus, bored of the game really tho.

The cheapest I've seen these is buy Burning Crusade for $40, and get the original game for $10.
I've also seen deals where Burning Crusade was $30, but the full game was $20.
Either way, the cheapest I've ever seen both together is $50.
If you look at it as WoW for $15 and Burning Crusade for $15, it's an awesome deal... you won't ever see BC get to be $15 within the next year +.

I bought 2 bundles--one for myself and one for the boyfriend. Since we will be in different cities this summer...I figured this was a good way for us to keep in touch. =P

Not very often, unfortunately.
However, when they do go on sale, usually at Best Buy, they are $19.99 a piece... with the new PC Games GGC's (I haven't seen one yet, though) that would drop them to $15.
But yea, I'd say it's only a few times a year they drop the time cards that cheap.

Grrr, I quit WoW a year ago because I was bored and was planning on seeing if the expansion would keep me occupied. But at 40, I would never buy it. Now this comes along and tempts me!

MAYBE, if it's still in stock later tonight, I'll bite. But I really don't need an MMO right now; I've got enough console games to catch up on/coming out that this would just be a waste of monthly fees.
Still, I'm horribly tempted, and I'm sure my new laptop could run this no problem.

Is anyone familair with BB's return policy on PC games? I decided to get into PC gaming and bought these a few days ago. So I' thought I'd order these and then return them for $50 back.

Holy crap, $30 bucks for both? Thanks, I'm getting in on this right fucking now. Never played WoW before, either!
EDIT: Done and done. Forgot I still had 10 bucks from a gift certificate, so I got both for $20.17. Fuck yeah.

Well, I bit. A friend of mine who plays some said he'd be glad to start up a new character with me. So I took my own advice and bought the set, even tho I already own the original WoW, just to get the first free month for $5. ;)

I feel extremely tempted to buy this. I played EQ2 for a little bit and liked that, and you definitely can't beat the price. If only I didn't have a few new games that I'm currently playing.... that, and the fact that I have a life sucks

I don't know how much longer I can resist that $30 price tag. I quit WoW a year ago and have been missing it ever since. My only problem is this game is way too addicting and I have 0% social life while playing it. AHHHHHHHHH. Why was this the DOTD!
