http://www.chegg.com

It's a college-centric classifieds site, mostly textbooks, fairly lame, but, they're having a special today. Starting at 3:23 PM PST, there will be Nintendo Wiis (The number in unknown) available for $99.

The catch? You have to have a .edu address, and use their contact importer to send invites to 15 other people with .edu addresses.

I would have posted this earlier, but I just found out about it last night, and they just announced when the Wii's would be for sale less than an hour ago. You've got about an hour and a half if you read this...besides having to spam, its an AMAZING deal.

CAG Lurker, OUT.

This seems more like spam than a legit deal....

I have a .edu but seems like a hassle, I'll pass.

One step away from a pyramid scheme. I'm sure your friends will really appreciate that you sold their email address for a cheap Wii.

Who needs friends when you can get a cheap Wii?

Chegg often has great deals but you need to be a student and have posted one item to sell on their site

hmm, can you get around the pyramid part by sending the invites to expired or random addy's with .edu suffixes?

Or heck, if you know the email of someone totally obnoxious then just use that as one of your referrals.

Ah fuck it, this is a ponzi scheme any way you spin it.

I got that same email, and now the site says next week.

Ponzi would be proud of this one; college kids, wii's, .edu....the making of a great pyramid.

Fuck this site.

The have like one wii to give away, they drum up hype, you miss out on the Wii and voila-- you get spammed by them frequently.

Don't do it.

The only thing I ever got from them was an X-Box Wireless controller for $25. They sent it in a non-padded envelope so the actual controller blister pack was broken in places. Controller works fine at least.

I had it in my cart but didn't manage to check out in time. Oh well. Thanks!

I got a Shuffle for half-price, but their book prices suck from Chegg itself, and that's where most of the available ones originate.

Spammed emails that I knew didn't exist, and got 15 returned emails to my regular email account today. Oh well, it still worked.
