Also recommended but the special edition is way cooler. Although the price difference is pretty big here.

I looked through at a few I was interested in (black hawk down, close encounters, das boot) and I think the ones in the sale are single disc or old versions, where a new version has come out. Although I really wasn't expecting anything amazing (the price definitley fits the titles), I was still hoping :D

Although I might pick up SLC Punk, since it has only one version. Will have to check around and see if a double dip is happening anytime soon. I love that movie.

In "U-Turn," Oliver Stone narrows his focus from the broad-canvass projects he typically produces. Those seeking the knowing profundities of "JFK" or "Nixon" will be disappointed. This is a genre picture of the desert southwestern potboiler variety, a much-updated "Painted Desert" kind of film. Lots of bad luck, scorpions, whiskey, sexual perversity, bullying, greed, lots of sweat and very little shaving. :) The basic questions begged by a movie like this one are these: Who will have sex? Who will live? Who will die? And who will end up with the money? By the final reel, all these questions are very satisfactorily answered. For a picture of this type, "U-Turn" is very good indeed.

U-Turn is the one with Sean Penn and Joaquin Phoenix as "TNT" right? I thought it was well done. I did not know it was Oliver Stone. $6.98 is almost the prce of a rental, so it is hard to go wrong. I give it a thumbs up.

6.98 is a good price. If there was anything in particular I really wanted, I'd pick it up, but it's still a little above my price where I will buy just because it's cheap. $3-4 is what I would want in that range. Still a good sale though.
