A sports game that's pretty much no different from the previous year's installment other than different team rosters and *very* slightly tuned graphics should never be more than $10 new.

There's a reason they eventually end up costing as low as 99 cents at used game stores in less than a year or two.

It's not we think it's bad or anything...it's that in a few months this game will be worth nothing. Also, I don't think they really improved much here. However, I like Winning Eleven more anyways.

Well I disagree about it being like 06. I played both demos and 07 was dramatically different. (not just graphics wise) It just played faster and better and most importantly VERY different for the better. I've played WE but always been a FIFA guy. Not necessarily a fan of EA, but just like the FIFA Engine better.

Well thats the thing. I do plan to wait. I mean at $25 it's nice, but I waited all this time for a reason. I could have picked it up before. Originally I had a chance to buy World Cup 06 for like $15. But then played the demo....and 07 was so much better it wasn't even funny. I doubt it'll sell out, so I'll wait till tomorrow evening and see if I can get it for $20. I'd like for it to be $15 but that's asking too much I bet.

I agree, the '07 engine is much better than WC '06. I picked up WC '06 @ CC for $12 and don't regret it one bit. Plus WC '06 has some international teams that aren't available on the '07 version. Hopefully nobody will bite on this deal and the price will drop to $15. Though I may buy it @ $20.

That was the reason why I wanted WC 06. It had the World Cup and the extra international teams. But again, when I played the demo it just wasn't that good. Then when the 07 demo came out, I was stunned it was so different. Honestly, looking back, I wouldn't have been happy with WC even at 15. Just because it was not that fun atleast not the demo, maybe the full game would have been better though.

Edited - As of 1:38AM PST, it is sold out. They better get it in stock...I wanna buy. Maybe I shouldn't have waited.

Seems the deal is back up. Pity it already sold out once (maybe that was just an error on Amazon's part?). I've been jonsing for some soccer and even though my British friends keep telling me Winning Eleven is better and Fifa is shite, Winning Eleven is also $50 still right now. If it hits $20 or lower, I'm in.

I wish this was for the Xbox version of the game. The 360 version is missing a lot of leagues that are in the Xbox version.

I just rented this from gameznflix and it was a worthwhile rental but I didn't keep it too long. I still preffer WE but from the reviews of the 360 version I thought this one was a safer bet. If it goes down another $8 or $10 I'll purchase it.

360 sports games aren't gonna go down to 99 cents used. Keep dreaming Madden 06 still sells for 19.99 retail and its already had a game over it. If anything when you see a under 10 dollar 360 game will probably be in 2 years.

^^Actually I think NBA 06 for 360 is 9.99 at frys.com. So they're getting lower but you're right they won't go real low.

FIFA blows... winning 11 is by far the best soccer game in the world. You will never find a good price on winning 11 (unless you get really lucky during a clearance). Everytime a new version of winning 11 comes out, I sell my older version for $20 or so...:)
