Its a good deal for those interested...but my backlog prevents me from paying more than the $16 new I'll get it for at Best Buy, less GGC coupon once it hits GH or has a permanent price drop.
Still...not bad for those who can't wait.

It isnt even worth $10. Not to sound like a negative Nancy, but goddamn this game is just terrible. Usually I dont mind games where enemies run past me and then all of a sudden stop and turn around and notice me then start shooting, but there isn't much that makes up for this game minus the purdy cinemas. Plus unless you need more Vincent backstory (or extra fanfic material), you won't be getting much.
Also god I never wish I could shoot a talking cat in the face more then in this game...

i would buy it BUT after finding SPECTRAL SOULS PSP at a pawn shop for 10 bucks complete that will be taking up all my time
now just to find a place to get a cheap Valhalla Knights and i be set (though i could of got it off gamefly for 18 shipped -- with10 buck credeit i got but passes)

I paid $20 for it a few months back, and I easily would have paid more...and it still would have been worth it.
Also, Family Video is a fairly big Rental chain that is popping up all over the place, and they are more than trustworthy. I've even applied for a job there, but so did like 1000 other people when it went it, so I didn't get the job :P Once people start hearing about them more though, they with crush BlockBuster in every way, as their rentals are much cheaper $.99 for most movise, and $2.xx for new releases...while I paid $4.00 at BlockBuster once to rent a movie that had been out for ten years a BB (bc Family video didn't have it checked in)...what a rip off BB!

This game isn't worth getting unless they pay you to take it. It is just TERRIBLE.
All you pretty much do is push R1 until you get bored and throw the game out.

The only bad thing about Spectral Soul is the load time, but other wise it is a lot better than generation of chaos.
Valhalla Knights is also a lot better than most of the reviewers suggest.

It doesn't really matter if loading times are the only bad thing about Spectral Souls, because they are prohibitively bad. They ruin the experience completely.
Valhalla Knights is not as awful as it is reported to be, but it is still a totally unoriginal and boring RPG with lackluster controls. Sometimes the lack of goodness is enough to make a thing bad.

This game sold stupidly well as far as I understand (why or how I'll never understand) so it has to get marked down eventually. Though I think I definetly have to agree and say this is for FF7 die-hard fans (meaning if you actually enjoyed Advent Children and can make sense of everything). Other then that $5 is asking price for it.

What I question is why the fuck people feel such a strong need to belittle and argue what/why other people like stuff. Some of these posts are basically in the vein of "You like that, so you're a moron."Albeit, in a MUCH nicer tone, but you're still saying the same thing.
And since all these recent FV deals have been doubled up with that new customer coupon, I'm starting to think there should just be one topic pointing the coupon out. Because without it FV's "steals" aren't nearly as good. They're generally just 5 dollars off the normal price.

Hey that's like your opinion, dude.
I don't mean to sound like such an ass, but something like Dirge I can't help but feel like its just cashing in on loyal fanbase by giving them a mediocre (or possibly less) game. So I can't help but be just a little bitter for forcing out abunch of FF7 products that are hardly on par with the original game.

I have seen 3 mint pre-played copies of Dirge in 3 different Block Buster stores for $7.50 this past week.
Blockbuster is blowing out pre-played rentals for 50% off in their stores.
YMMV I suppose, but worth a look if you want this. I have heard nothing but negativity about this title, though.

I'm a HUGE FF fan and even I couldn't find myself to like Dirge of Cerberus. I was always saying to myself before I played the game: "Oh it's like Devil May Cry 2 (which I didn't think was as horrible as everyone made it out to be), I'm sure I'll like this game", but boy was I wrong. Aside from the sharp visuals the game really is bad in every way. Mostly it's just really slow, repetitive and boring. I was expecting Devil May Cry with Vincent, and that's not at all what this game is. DMC2 is awesome by comparaison, so do yourself a favor and avoid this game.

FFVII was the reason i bought a PS in the 7th grade...that's when FFVII FIRST CAME OUT...i have been a die hard fan of it even BEFORE it came out...and i have talked about it NONSTOP! EVEN STILL TODAY...jus for how amazing of a series it is...and to all those people that DIDN'T understand FFVII: Advent Children...SHOVE IT...It was brilliant in my opinion...and well worth the 4-5 years wait i had to endure. All of you jerks that are being way too cynical can chew on my big fat log. FFVII: Dirge of Cerebus was not an absolutely amazing game like it's predecessor..true. BUT, nonetheless it provides an essential storyline and it is a very enjoyable game, PRIMARLY for those who have been into the entire storyline of the game since the beginning. All of you others i doubt would understand the full extent of FFVII's awesomeness..wow...glad that's out now...
oh and buy this game ESPECIALLY if you are a die-hard fan like stated above :-D
