I dunno, it seems we got new coupons well in advance of the old ones expiring in the past. Now it seems we may have a lull if not an outright lack of coupon goodness. Thus I went on a multi-Best Buy run tonight to pick up some frontlane goodies :lol:.

Definately. I had the PC version of Halo before I had an XBox, and it just felt clunky compared to other FPS. I think that's part of the problem translating a game from console design to PC.

The same is true of like RTS when they try to put them on consoles. The controls just don't work well enough.

GamePro received an e-mail from Microsoft today notifying us that the developers of Halo 2 for Windows Vista are delaying the release of the game, which had originally been planned for an American release next week on May 8th.
"We're making some updates to Halo 2 for Windows Vista that should improve the install experience and address other technical issues, ensuring that the final retail version provides a fantastic experience for gamers," the statement writes. "Given these changes, we will be adjusting the on-shelf date of the product."
Although the message does not specifically state how long this delay will be, retailers and other video game-related websites have already taken the liberty of extending the U.S. release to May 22nd, 2007. GamePro will update you if we receive further word from either Bungie or Microsoft.

Reports filtering in from across the world today suggest that Halo 2 for Windows Vista could have slipped by a week.
A number of prominent retailers have amended their listings of the eagerly awaited PC (http://play.tm/story/10425#) first-persion shooter. The European date has shifted from the 18th to the 25th of May. American dates, meanwhile, have jumped from the 8th to 23rd of May.
A delay is pure conjecture at present, though with a number of retailers changing their dates it seems increasingly likely a little slippage could be on the way. Halo 2 (http://play.tm/story/10425#), a PC port of the Xbox 360 (http://play.tm/story/10425#) smash hit, will only work on Windows Vista and promises a number PC exclusive features such as a map editor. Live Anywhere support is on the cards and achievements similar to the 360 version are promised.

Jesus this Halo 2 thing is crazy. I was totally banking on playing Halo 2 this week up until the 3 Beta comes out, now I'm just left scratching my head wondering what the fuck to do. I'll call around Tuesday and Wednesday to see what's up, otherwise no one seems to know what the hell is up right now. This is almost as bad as the Gameboy Micro launch.

Halo 2 Vista has been delayed... I'm hearing that it could be unti May 22nd (which is what Gamestop has it under) and other people are reporting that it is indefinite.

Apparently, a problem with the installation procedure was found as well as numerous glitches.

Speedy, what do we do with Circuit City's $40 price, now that it's not even coming out? Raincheck?
They'll probably tell you that manufacturer delays invalidate any pricing that they're offering in the ad, so you're likely screwed. I doubt they can provide rainchecks for product that hasn't been released in their system yet.

Personally, I'd keep a copy of the ad, and when it does come out, go into CC with their ad in-hand, explain what happened, and see if they'll offer it to you at that price of $40.
